Like what? I'm really curious what would tempt a Libertarian from Texas to move here.

since i would be there for the beer, the rain would not be a problem

does belgium require prospective immigrants to show a cash net worth of $1 million (US) like switzerland does?

but i am looking at belize at the moment. plan to soon visit to see if it is a practical move - at least for the winters

Costa Rica. Canada would be a choice, but it's too damn cold.

p.s. If the U.S. economy tanks, all of the nations you've listed above will not be viable options since their economies are heavily dependent on our own.

This poll is multiple choice. If you like, you may choose more than one.
I would not flee America. I would hope that if **** ever got so bad to cause people to leave I would hope that people would stay and revolt.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

i am speculating your fate in such a circumstance would not be unlike that of the tories at the conclusion of the revolutionary war

Well, I have some college hours in German, so I could probably pick that back up, and I had some French in high school, so maybe I could get that going again, too.

The ability to own firearms is a big plus, and so is the highly-developed banking industry there.

Oh, and the chocolate, the flora and fauna, the mountains and so forth.

    Switzerland would be my #1

Others include the Philippines, Some South American countries, Maybe an independent Atlantic Island, Eastern Europe.

    Those are good reasons.

Just so you know though, firearms ownership is heavily regulated here. Getting a conceal carry permit is damn near impossible for a civilian. Also, we have mandatory health insurance.

    Meh, I don't need a CWP.

Your country is pretty slick, I like it's independent nature and the strong privacy laws.
I also like your government structure.

You'll also like how everything is expensive. The cost of a macdonalds meal with tax would be like 14e's.
