I think when these officers were killed it made news at DP. There was a huge outpouring of support for the police in our community and these families, specifically.
I was pretty disappointed when I heard these wives were bringing a lawsuit against the county for failing to prevent the deaths by not monitoring the inmate telephone calls.
It seems the families have changed their minds and are dropping their claim.
What do you think about it? Should they have started down this path.....why or why not?
Should they have dropped their claim or power up for a fight?

The families of three murdered Lakewood police officers said Friday afternoon they have dropped their claims against Pierce County, saying they couldn't endure the ugly backlash from the Pierce County Sheriff's Office and the public.
