    Re: Is Oral Sex 'Sex'?

This attitude toward oral sex represents a dramatic and sudden shift in thinking since 1991, when a similar survey found that nearly twice as many young adults (about 40%) would classify oral-genital contact as sex.
Really? There's certainly a difference between third base and home plate, and a triple's been inferior to a home run as long as I can remember.

That's a very offensive insinuation indeed.
    Who said this?
I couldn't find the original quote.

It was tongue in cheek.....(unless there's something else on this thread I missed)

If a woman cannot get pregnant without the help of artificial insemination, then clearly she has failed her job as a woman. Woman were designed to have babies and if they can't accomplish that task through normal means, then they are failures and should be ashamed.

This is all simple teleology taken to its logical conclusion.

I would chat with her when I'm feeling particularly snarky, but I wouldn't ever call her on the phone.

You can't spell immoral without oral.
Hey, that means every time I get some oral I'm allowed to spell immoral?

I thought it was Eve "eating" Adam's "fruit" that led to all the problems...

Man, I love your posts Mr CriticalThought, one of my comedy heroes died years ago and I'm sure he'd enjoy your oneliners.

Some people like ****ing dogs and goats. They think it feels great too. Now...Im not comparing the acts...just saying that maybe "because it feels good" isnt the best factor in deciding validity and appropriate behaviors.

Wow I'm really surprised most people on here think oral sex is sex. "Having sex" is generally understood as coitus among everybody I've ever talked to about it in person, though I'm not much older than the study group. I think it came from the conception of sex as being necessary and sufficient for the criteria of "losing virginity," but we would not call somebody who had only had oral sex anything but a virgin.

Oral sex doesn't take your virginity, but it's clearly "sex."

Not so clearly at all. Not sure why anyone would consider it sex, actually.
