[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NTRvlrP2NU&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube- Earl and Tiger[/nomedia]

The commercial, in which a silent Woods stares into the camera while his late father’s voice asks him what he has learned (presumably from being lambasted in the media for the past four months), has received mixed reactions.

But while some critics have suggested the black and white television advert is “creepy”, experts believe it cleverly shifts attention back to the 34-year-old’s prowess on the course rather than in the bedroom.

I think it's obnoxious and disingenuous. For one thing, the senior Mr Woods was a known philanderer, correct? He was no moral saint in that department. So, the commercial is built on a false premise.

Nike is grasping at straws here. This whole Tiger Woods story has grown utterly tiresome. No, he's not a role model, he blew it, I wish him well.

:prof

Tis' the double-edged sword that is fame.

With fame comes the expectation of certain principles.

With fame comes the opportunity to easily break those same principles.

I am not offended. I am puzzled as to what the message of that commercial is or what exactly they are advertising.

Cheese.

I'm sure it's cheese.

No idea why, though.

Edit: Haven't watched the advert...What's it about?

They are advertising Nike. The commercial was to personify Tiger's discretions and open the door to forgiveness. It's called repentant humiliation. It's a PR thing. He's probably bangin' the Publicist.

Besides, Reeboks feel better, last longer, cost less and don't get as stinky.

That commercial just sounded like some pointless boring ****.

I like Nike. I sometimes tell my nephew that if he doesn't behave I will ship him to China so he can make my favorite shoes and have lots of little Chinese brothers and sisters who will help him make shoes.

That's because you're not in touch with your feminine side.

Someone give me a tissue please.

LOL, I just shop at the supermarket. You get all the highlights waiting in line. :rofl

That commercial was seriously one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. And tiger looks like an idiot in it.

Im not a golf fan.Why not point out the people who want to pry into this mans personnel life.People who have nothing in their own lives they have to get involved in somebody elses sex life.

Also yes the advert is pathetic

It is an advertisement posing as fine art and fails on all levels.

I voted "Other" because I don't really care and have more important things to think about, such as making sure I keep earning my paycheck.

Thanks for spending time telling us all how you would never waste time on this subject matter... ;)

no, not offended. Just apathetic. I don't give a flying **** who Tiger Woods boinks.

Uh nope.

No one cares. If he wasn't black, it wouldn't have even made headlines.

No reason that he's a bad role model. He didn't campaign in favor of "sexual abstinence" like Carrie "Sex Tape" Prejean did. He's a role model at what he does - golf, so I don't see what his rocky relationship with some psycho wife has to do with that.

Again, no one would care if he wasn't black. If he was white this would've been on the National Enquirer and forgotten in a week.

All advertising is offensive and insulting, so I avoid them like the plague.
One of man's greatest invention - the mute button. I'd like to see a video mute, advertising is that obnoxious.

It is my believe not caring is a stance as well and in this case has merit.

What is your personal stake in in what TW does or does not do? Just curious.

Tiger, you are such a whore, and in more ways than one now. LOL.

The only thing in my sick mind was how the Duggars yell Nike. I need help:)

That's the stupidest **** I have ever heard posted on here. Republicans, mostly white, end up in the news all the time for the same thing. Oh, and Edwards, a democrat and white, all over the news for the same thing.
