What I'm telling you is that since I was in college, I've been accustomed to both social groups. I've worked and socialized with an equal mix of blacks and whites, and I was married for 12 years to a Filipino guy. I'm equally comfortable around blacks/whites, and that wouldn't be a consideration for me.

FWIW, I don't necessarily view whites as "more my kind" than blacks. A black or Latino police officer would be more "my kind" than a white sunday school teacher. To be truthful, a Latino gang member is more "my kind" than a white Sunday School teacher. I've spent more time around gang members than I have PTA members. I understand gang members, but PTA members get on my last damn nerve.

I wouldn't have a preference either way, all other things being equal. Preferring people on the basis of race isn't "natural" to me. I like people for who they are, not what their skin color is.

Okay, here's a prejudice I'll admit to. I hate people in mini-vans with those stupid Jesus fishes on the back. Today, I was driving back to the office and this chick in a minivan with 5 Jesus fishes on the back cut me off, and I thought...

"Would Jesus drive like that? I don't think so."

I don't know what color she was, though.

The people with those "choose life" license plates, too. I tend to prejudge them because several of them have tried to kill me while driving, as well. Apparently, their pro-life sentiments only apply to the unborn, and not adult heathens like me.

So, if I had to choose a neighborhood with a bunch of "choose lifers" and jesus fishers, versus one with a bunch of heathens, I'd definitely take the heathens.

Also, any girl (of any race), who self-labels as a diva, princess, or some other malarky should be forcibly norplanted and should not be allowed to breed.

You would think after that? I would be one of those white females you see that tense up whenever seeing a group of black males but I do not. I usually nod or may even say What's Up or How You Doing. :)

Actually I love it. I think it's great that they give fair warning that way; that way any man that gets involved with them can't say later that he didn't know he was diving in shark-infested waters. :mrgreen:

There are areas around Fulton County Georgia where you would HAVE to move into a majority black neighborhood to get those things...and would be better received than some of the majority white communities.

And lets not even TALK about Macon County... (OK...in fairness...I havent been back to Macon in a few lifetimes...but...the way it was...some places...if you were a new face you were shot at...white...black...fake and bake orange...no matter...)

Not to counter you but I have had similar experience in food delivery.
Everyone, even the black guys hated to deliver to the black neighborhoods because you usually had to give back exact change.

There were a couple good tippers but mostly is was a waste to go.

I have waited tables in past and to me? The worse tippers were the older white folks that were dressed to the nines. Stingy as hell with their money:2razz:

That can be very true as well.
Old people don't tip worth a **** if they even do.

Best tippers are middle/upper income, mid 20's to middle age.
Color doesn't usually make a difference as much then.

I generally don't have a really high opinion of people who cover their car in stickers of whatever sort.

Okay, if you've got ONE sticker and it isn't something stupid, fine.

Two dozen? No. Even if I agree with every single one of your stickers, the mere fact that you have that many stickers on one car, means something is seriously wrong with you. :mrgreen:

Yea I wouldn't expect too much from them but I didn't work near college kids.

Very true. But I usually had, eh, maybe a 20% chance of a good tip with them. And they'd always tip, it just might be no more than 10%. Which again, is why I say it's not really a racist thing, so much as cultural. I fully understand that old people and black people weren't raised to tip 20%.
