Yes, we might see a prophecy come true with the moaning and gnashing of teeth.

Yep, hold on turn your retirement accounts boys and girls, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

sadly the dems are using the wealth of the hardest working and most industrious americans to addict the majority of the voters into being entitlement junkies easily manipulated by the promise that if they just vote for dems, all they want will be paid for by others.

I would love a system where you got an additional vote for every additional 5000 dollars in taxes you pay. that would put an end to the pandering to the lowest common denominator by promising tax hikes on the producers

In the beginning, only white males who owned property could vote, so there is precedence for limiting who can and can not vote. Perhaps it is time to limit it to people who actually paid income taxes, instead of simply basing in on age.

I imagine such a plan would be met with howls of derision, however, don't you?

yeah, mostly by the parasites who think that living on welfare entitles them the same say about tax rates as someone who pays for their existence.

IT is an abomination that 4 deadbeats can vote away the wealth without restriction of a hard working industrious individual

The mitigating factor is that a lot of those deadbeats simply don't find the time or energy to make it to the polls anyway, nor do they have a clue as to what the issues are that they're voting on.

Well, you're forgetting the corporate welfare that politicians on the Right perform with their no-bid contracts and wasteful spending on defense contractors and military spending. These government contractors rely greatly on the Pentagon and Congress to keep them afloat. I think the military-industrial-congressional complex is just as corrupt as welfare entitlements. Until more conservatives get onto their politicians about corporate welfare, I don't see them as any different as politicians who endorse social welfare.

Other- Upholding the constitution and restoring it's standing in U.S. law. If we did that all other issues would fall into place.

As long as people who actually paid income taxes have to follow the laws whoever they vote into office write, you get no resistance from me.

Actually, this is a horrible idea, since people could raise the amount of income taxes needed to be paid to be a citizen, and therefore cut out the voting rights of more and more of the population until a few hold all the legal power to impose their tyranny on the larger population. I don't think our Founding Fathers would support that at all.
