Re: Do you think there will be a major rebellion?

No. There has been little sentiment of any of its kind, and if it retains any of its character as our last civil war, it would take decades to foster enough resentment by the public to say that we cannot stay united. People forget just how unwilling the republic was in splitting up. I find that most people do not wish to create such a dangerous world in this continent. Most people want peace and quiet, not war.

Frankly, I find most of that rhetoric ridiculous, resulting from temporary mass hysteria.

If the economy tanks within the next two years - which is a possibility - then yes. Otherwise, it will take longer than 10 years.

Peace is merely the absents of war.You are aware that tyranny and danger can exist without war? Are you saying a population would just sit by and take it instead of rebelling?

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

It depends what secrets are revealed. If we all find out the elections have been fixed for quite some time there might be be some bad feelings.

We will get pwned for awhile though. The FEMA concentration camps are in place just for you if you decide to object too strenuously.

Incumbents hate to lose their power, girls, and money.

    To be fair... Who doesnt?
    Thank you

Most people move away from danger wherever possible. There just comes a point where there is a conscious decision to call it severe enough to "rebel". Otherwise, what rebellion you will have will come in the form of working with the system as currently exists, to reform it where needed. Keep in mind how long it took for several relating issues to affect the United States enough for separation and a lengthy bloody war.

A lot of people just do not consider high taxes to be tyranny and this is due to the scum in office and the progressive tax system(so there is a lot of people who simply to do not pay their fair share). Due to the careful crafted politically correct speech of the scum in office most people think nothing of paying property taxes, sales taxes, vehicle registration fees which are taxes, state income taxes federal income taxes, taxes on money that that already had taxes taken out of it.A lot of these people buy into the nonsense that taxes are not theft. I think our founding forefathers are rolling over in their graves right now

Re: Do you think there will be a major rebellion?

We pay considerably less in income taxes today than we have throughout most of the 20th century. Our current top tax rate is 35%, compared to being over 50% from '32 to '86. Other than the period between '88 and 92', we have the lowest top tax rate since 1931. The bottom income tax rate is 10%, the lowest since 1941.

Yes, when PBO seizes power and installs himself as dictator, there will be an uprising. I'm gonna be up-n-the-middle-of-it, too.
