can't seem to add the theist option to the poll, so making another

Other again:mrgreen:
With knowledge, we may know 0.01% of what there is to know; others would say we know 1.0%....Some think? 90%...
I will not deny "God", I cannot...Same applies to ghosts... and Jesus.
I prefer the 21st century knowledge over the 18th or the 1st.

Other: I don't care.

I've successfully removed myself from the religious debate. I'm not theist, I'm not an atheist, because both labels seem so conformist.

I simply am not. :)

Mmmm, conformity.

I'm an atheist, but I also stay a bit away from the religious debate. For me, it's none of my business what other people say or believe, and they are free to do as they like so long as they don't infringe upon the rights of others in the process. Things like god in the pledge or money, 10 commandments in a court house, manger scene outside a courthouse during Christmas....don't care. Let the local community/state decide. So long as you aren't enforcing laws of gods but rather laws of men which respect the rights and liberties of the individual; then whatever floats your boat I say.

Less your a Scientologist. Then I'll make fun of you.

That's pretty much, word-for-word, exactly how I see it.

If I call myself an atheist, then it puts me in a pool of other atheists, and atheist organizations, which are sometimes violent or irrational. Mainly this is only when someone asks me "what are you?" I just say I don't care.

To be honest I've never really even heard or read about Scientology a lot (due to laziness). All I know is that Tom Cruise is one, and that he is weird. I've heard its just weird in general.

Other - I don't know.

Probably "agnostic" is closest.

Basically, it's a scam. A very good scam.

I consider myself primarily a deist, but I also lean towards agnostic. I am unsure if there is a deity, but if there is, I believe that deity can be found in the natural world and understood through science. However, I'm a bit intrigued currently by gnosticism, so I may look up some stuff about that.

I'm a Bible believing Christian

Non Denominational Christian here.

quite interesting, I'm agnostic

Our singularity had to exist in another universe before it created the big bang. Therefore our universe is within another universe.

Physics cannot explain what put all that energy and matter into the singularity or point of origin for our big bang.

It is actually more probable that some type of intelligence set up the energy and matter for our big bang than can be explained by physics.

I believe religion and God is a term of relativity and there is some type of being much greater than us and in terms of relativity is our God and creator of our universe...

I feed babies to Satan.

Atheist, and amazed that anybody is naïve enough to believe in horoscopes, fortune tellers, Santa Claus, Snow White, the tooth fairy, God or the bible.

I fall somewhere between an atheist and an agnostic. Mostly I don't care, but I can find no evidence of a god, and without evidence, I do not believe.

I am not however anti-religion. What people believe in regards to religion does not harm me, and I see no reason to attack others for their faith.

Aaaaaand this is why atheists have such a bad rep.

As humans evolved, religion is simply the earliest form of a law when man began to evolve to become "civilized".

Religion evolved into written laws.

The energy based lifeforms that use living tissue as a host also evolve.

It is the energy based lifeform (soul) that keeps proliferating and evolving along with the evolution of living tissue that may be what comes to be judged someday as worthy to move on to other things.

Because of the almost infinite size of the universe with its almost infinite number of planets it also likely contains an almost infinite number of intelligent lifeforms.

Because there is an almost infinite number of types of lifeforms it is likely some of these lifeforms are energy based lifeforms that use living tissue as a host....being its soul.

It is the soul that is deemed if worthy of having evolved to satisfactory specifications to join the rest of the energy based life at the end of its evolving (reincarnating).

that's pretty much my views too

Horoscopes are spookily accurate sometimes. It's weird.

I still don't believe in them, but it's an interesting coincidence.

They're made in such a way that it's easy to fit the specifics of your day into their generalities.
