Hey look. His outburst was inappropriate, whether he was referring to Stupak or referring to the bill. He broke decorum. However, he has apologized, so let's just move on. When tempers flare, something like this can always happen. Congresscritters are human too. *

I think it's time for us all to grow up. This country has serious issues, and there isn't time for this sort of b.s.

I am happy to see the Democrats NOT doing what I would suspect a Republican would do (demanding a resignation). I do think he should receive a reprimand for what he did, though.

I do think that he sold out his pro-life stance to vote along with partisan Democrats. He put his trust in one of the most pro-abortion politician in history to promise to uphold a law we already have. A true man of principal, in my opinion, would have fought this until it was in plain language that no federal dollars in this bill can be used to fund abortion.

What do you think Rep. Randy Neugebauer actually said and should he be punished for his outburst?

Rep. Randy Neugebauer has come out and admitted he was the one who shouted out something about "baby killer" during Rep. Bart Stupack's speech on health care reform.

"A Republican Congressman has stepped forward and admitted to yelling 'baby killer' while Rep. Bart Stupak was addressing the House floor. But Texas Rep. Randy Neugebauer says he was referring to the health care bill and not to Rep. Stupack." (Article: Rep. Randy Neugebauer: I yelled 'baby killer' during Rep. Bart Stupak's speech)
I think Stupak should have been called a moron for voting for something in exchange for a promise that doesn't mean squat.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Full bill text here (Note: It will take a while to load... it looked like it froze my browser, but I let it sit and it eventually loaded):
Health Care Bill - Text of H.R.3590 as Engrossed Amendment Senate: Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act -... OpenCongress

Do a "find" (Ctrl+F) on the page for "abortion" to skip to that section. It specifies that anyone who wishes for public funding of abortion may choose to do so. It's time you realize that not everyone agrees with your viewpoint. I personally am against federal funding of abortion, but people like you or I who are against federally funded abortions are not the only ones who pay taxes. So for the sake of moving this country forward... you people need to get over it.

And Obama has promised to sign an executive order to ban federally funded abortions. I agree with Stupak when he spoke on CNN. Many people praised Bush when he made an executive order to ban federal funding of stem cell research... no one batted an eye. But for what ever reason when Obama makes an equally qualifying promise he is hounded about it from the right. Talk about double standards. Do hypocrisies know no bounds? Clearly not.

    Re: "Stupak's a Baby Killer"?

It's funny how Neugebauer calls Stupak a "baby killer" when he's actually for the provision in the legislation that prohibits any public funding for abortion. That's something I just don't understand.
