Will we be able to do it? I mean...with all of the threats to sue the government and people already talking about repealing it???

In what sense? I doubt that any of the court challenges will succeed, and I don't see the Reps repealing the program as a whole any time soon. However, there's no chance in hell that the excise tax ever comes into effect, nor is there any chance that the scheduled cuts in Medicare/aid reimbursements and second-decade reductions in subsidy growth aren't addressed in some fashion, ala the Doctor Fix.

I only see one shot at this thing actually being repealed...

If Republicans win a Majority of both houses by 2012 AND unseat Obama.

The majority of the entitlements for this will not have been rolled out by that point, meaning that the dependency that will undoubtedly strike people just as it has with Social Security, Medicare, and Welfare, will not have gone into affect yet. Once it does the ability to repeal it will be the same as trying to reform Social Security.

The only shot at this thing being repealed is Republican wins in the next two election cycles.

Alternatively, there's an off chance that it could happen if Republicans win large in 2010 and Obama decides to triangulate, ala Bill Clinton, and relents on signing a repeal of the law based on the notion that the will of the people have spoken, hoping to get a 2nd term. However that's highly doubtful.
