Someone ought to blow the dome off the Capital Building.

Talking point. A couple of the slimeballs said it earlier, too.being a woman is a pre-existing condition? WTF is that?
Speaker Pelosi: A right, not a privilege … 10:29 pm et … They vote now!
being a woman is a pre-existing condition? WTF is that?
Yeah, I don't get that either.
Fixed ....Do you actually think that this bill makes having someone else involuntarily pay for your health care "a right, not a privilege"?
Because pregnancy and all that jazz probably.
You and the rest of Congress have been wiping your asses with the Constitution. Don't try to blow smoke and tell me that anything about this bill is Constitutional.
You can't even point to the provision of the Constitution that would allow for this sort of tripe, and the General Welfare Clause (go look it up) isn't it.
Just admit that it is unconstitutional as hell, you want a new entitlement and you want to retain the government, and save the rest of the bull**** for someone who is too dumb to know any better.
Nut up and report it then.
When I had insurance, I had to elect for a pregnancy addon. I then paid more if I wanted it. Which is the way it should be. I elected NOT to have it and was able to pay less.
So.. not sure how it's a pre-existing condition. Unless you consider being a man a pre-existing condition because men can have prostate problems.
Sure did. I try to keep my hypocrisy to a minimum. You should try it sometime. And I'm sure you felt the same way when Bush and Cheney were gutting our Constitution and trampling over our rights... right? You were just as incensed about the Patriot Act.. right?
In a word: WRONG. The Commerce Clause is not a catch-all for whatever business you feel like regulating. At least it wasn't intended to be that way.Article I Section 8 of the Constitution, to regulate commerce among the states, will be used to support that Congress can indeed mandate that people buy health insurance or pay a fine.
Because there is no section in the Constitution that supports it. You swore to protect it once -- too bad you don't know what is in it.:2rofll: If you think it's unconstitutional why don't you just tell us... why?
Do you need me to draw you a picture or something?Nut up?
Well hooray for you. You made history. And we all know any history is good history! :roll:219 - 212 HIS-TOH-REE!
woot! der it is!!!:mrgreen:11:07 pm et, motion to recommit is voted down, the Republican last hope is over
10:46 pm et, the Senate health care reform bill receives 216 votes and is passed.
When you want something said, ask a man.
When you want something done, ask a woman.
Speaker Pelosi added to her considerable legacy tonight.
