Who'll Be Watching the House Health Care Reform Debate on Sunday?

Will Leader Boehner read the bill from the floor and delay the vote?

This is why most of us think Libertarians are nuts. You guys think you are the only ones who understand the constitution.
No, we just think we're the only ones that actually read it.

That would be the right thing to do. Nobody should vote on a bill they haven't actually read.

I suspect he doesn't have the balls, though.

No, we just think we're the only ones that actually read it.

And as long as you keep the attitude, you will never have any power in this country, which is cool with me. At least both us republicans and democrats can point to you all and say "hey, at least we are nut fringe element loonies like the libertarians". It brings us together.

Yes, because that is how good government is done.

I'd actually say that at the moment, the Democrats are doing a good job at bringing the Republicans and libertarians together.

Attitude!? This bill is being shoved down the country's throat. You're god damned right we have attitude. A purely partisan, party-line vote to change the entire country. Fear-mongering, lies, hypocrisy, arm-twisting, back door deals. How much of this did the left expect people to take?

I despise "the left" now. The Republicans are bad, but Democrats and liberals, they're the worst; they're intellectually bankrupt and pathologically dishonest. They've declared war on this country and American values. They're spitting on the Constitution and subsititing their own reality.

America, the Constitution has drawn its last breath. The government has won...

While the bill isn't perfect, I got a question.

The scope of this vicious debate is unreal, why did a debate like this not happen when you went to war in Iraq?

Why are republicans and democrats so eager to march together to war, but not work together to create positive change in your country. Two words.

You're screwed.

That's because it's harder to be the wolf than the sheep. A numbers game.

The biggest fallacy is that Republicans think they're minarchists who want to prevent the government to control you. Dems want to control your money, and Repubs want to control your morality. For those who appreciate that a stagnate, bloated, obsolete federalist body does pretty much no good for anybody, it's a lose-lose.

That's because the people who support it, likely haven't read a lick of it. And if they have, they lack understanding about insurance, and health care on a basic level, or how reimbursements to healthcare facilities are structured either on a government or private insurance basis. They likely just heard "health care reform" and have assumed that congress was making sure everyone was insured. Oops

No, we know it's far from perfect. I don't even like it being called "reform". However, it is a start. Finally.

I have no idea what the hell you're talking about. This bill is my life. This bill is my country. To hell with "the left". To hell with all of them.

Will Leader Boehner read the bill from the floor and delay the vote?
good grief, i hope not...he has lost...he needs to get over it.

We're not talking about positive change. We're talking about wrecking the health care industry and spending our country into the toilet. And yes, we are screwed.

Read it? Why would they read it before they voted on it? Why would they want to know what is in it? That's just crazy talk.

We're not talking about positive change. We're talking about wrecking the health care industry and spending our country into the toilet. And yes, we are screwed.

People can be very frightened of change. But the way your system is, its already wrecked. I doubt this could do any worse then it already is. It is inconcievable that people in the richest most powerful country in the world not to have health care.

It's too late for that kind of talk. They don't care. Nothing you say means anything to the Obamaphiles. You're just a tea-bagging racist right-winger and nothing you say matters. Get used to it. The government will have it's fingers in every slice of the pie after they ram this bill through.

Yeah, its like starting a race by pointing the starting gun at your head and pulling the trigger. It's a start, but the results won't be pretty.

True enough. This is a huge beginning. Eventually this will include everyone. And I suspect you know that.

I know. You're the only one here who understands anything. I do appreciate you allowing us mere mortals to play along with you. This will be a huge success and Americans will demand the coverage on this be expanded. And it will. You'll see.

Can you point me to the language in the bill that says any of this, or are you just making it up as you go along?

If you're going to cheerlead, you should at least know what game is on.

It is riddled with problems, but this bill sure as **** isn't going to make it any better.

We have health care. We don't have socialized medicine ... yet.

There is no such thing as bloody socialized medicine. We in Canada have Universal Health Care that is Federally mandated but carried out at the provincial (state) level. It works. It may not be perfect but every citizen has access to it. That is the way it should be.

They're probably going to herd people like us into camps before this **** is over. It's getting ridiculous.

I don't think he can... this time. His time is limited.

special rules for house leadership apply to him....he can pretty much take half the night if he wants to make an ass out of himself.

And the worst part is was that there was no alternative. You know McCain would have worked across the aisle on this ****.
