Hey I try to be rational about it.

No one likes rational though, it doesn't make headlines.

Are you watching some other Congress pass some other bill? The bill that's being enacted in my world would leave 22 million uninsured. That doesn't really sound like it creates a "right to healthcare" to me, but hey, I could be wrong.

    According to the CBO:

Number of uninsured under the status quo by the end of 2010: 50m
Number of uninsured under the Dems bill by the end of 2010: 50m

Number of uninsured under the status quo by the end of 2012: 51m
Number of uninsured under the Dems bill by the end of 2012: 50m

If you think the passage of this bill is going to result in some momentous flood of health care coverage for the downtrodden, you don't understand the most basic elements of how the bill work.

Speaker Pelosi, my representative, is on her way to the House floor. We are close to the vote now.

Ignorant? Does calling people names after your team loses always make you feel better?

I would think that most of the right leaning people in the country believe that Health Care reform is now here to stay. I'd even hazard a guess that RightinNYC will agree with this.

The Dems have all but squandered whatever power they received from the 2008 election. I think you may be a very unhappy person come next January when the next Congress is seated.
Actually, this WIN will probably add to, or even multiply, their power. The majority of the country will want to thank the Dems for their persistence in getting this bill passed.

Could the Dems loose seats? Sure. It's the off year elections and that is normal. But, it doesn't always happen. Obama has fulfilled his #1 campaign promise and that will carry a lot of weight for his party in November.

Even if the Repubs win both houses, the country would never allow them to repeal this bill. Watch and learn.

That's because the people who support it, likely haven't read a lick of it. And if they have, they lack understanding about insurance, and health care on a basic level, or how reimbursements to healthcare facilities are structured either on a government or private insurance basis. They likely just heard "health care reform" and have assumed that congress was making sure everyone was insured. Oops

I'm disgusted by our government but moreso by the lemmings who support this bill. You parasites. You worthless gutless parasites. All my plans are done. Why would I want to become a doctor now? This country is full of parasites....

True enough. This is a huge beginning. Eventually this will include everyone. And I suspect you know that.

I know. You're the only one here who understands anything. I do appreciate you allowing us mere mortals to play along with you. This will be a huge success and Americans will demand the coverage on this be expanded. And it will. You'll see.

This is why most of us think Libertarians are nuts. You guys think you are the only ones who understand the constitution.
