I have done my research, and I spoke truth: the black lawmakers are Democrats. There is not one single black Republican Congressman.
Why is that?
And one black Congressman was spat upon, and had to be escorted by security. No racism at all. Not a drop. Give me a break.
Even Barack Obama spoke at length of experiencing these types of things in his excellent autobiography, Dreams from my Father.
For him, I think it was even more jarring, because he was unaware of how society viewed people of his skin color until he got into his teens. Before that, his family conspired to shelter him from it.
One of the most difficult experiences for him was realizing that his own grandmother, who raised him, was fearful of blacks- not him, of course; other ones.
It is painful to read about these sorts of things.
Folks never factor in personal accounts, and are so quick to label other folks "victims", or overly sensitive...but when it happens so frequently, and in this day and age, you kinda grow a tough exterior, and are less likely to put up with BS.
