    Re: The U.S.'s truest ally

I believe we still have that historical tie to Britain that was observable in the 19th century. We have our differences, but I believe we are more Anglophiles than many would appreciate. Israel is a great friend, and perhaps we will continue to be tied, whether or not we will see our destinies as more or less intertwined, but I believe we have always identified and will continue to identify best with Britain.

I'd say the UK and Israel, even with the inevitable spats here and there.

Australia, New Zealand and US are very close due to the ANZUS treaty, though i believe there was a lapse in the NZ-US part of it a while ago from something to do with nukes, i'd say it is GB and Aus, Israel will be an ally only for as long as the US is useful to them, but currently they are close allies.

    Most of them, actually.

Like, why would we put a base in Canada? Nobody wants them.

I would say Canada. We kind of grew up together, and in the beginning it was a rocky relationship... but later we became pretty good friends. We don't really have conflict and we help each other economically. I think recently things have been a bit shaky because of border security issues, but other than that it's still the status quo. It doesn't get much better than that.

canada should be a state...and Quebec should be it's own country. :/
