Yeah, it means there are less crazies on the liberal side of things

Regardless of the message the Tea Party and Coffee Party are trying to promote, they are the respective extremes of the liberals and conservatives, and I honestly would prefer both groups to go away.

What I'm saying is that both groups started with good intentions, but have devolved, or at least the Tea Party has. I'd say the Coffee Party is going to follow suit once it gains some more momentum.

The tea parties under Ron Paul never amounted to anything and really don't count.

The present Tea Party really got started with a rant by CNBC's Rick Santelli in the middle of Feb. 2009. The first Tea Party in my town was July 4th 2009, or about 5 months after Santelli's rant.

We'll see if the coffee party can draw 4% of the population in a small town after it's been around for 5 months, or 12% after a year and a half........ that is assuming it's still around in 5 months.

Why? What are you hoping I'm wrong about? I assume you're saying you hope the Coffee Party doesn't succeed. What exactly do you have against the Coffee Party message?

It is essentially the liberal version of the Tea Party. Unless they can ensure they will stick to their good ideals (which violates quite a few laws about human nature), I won't like them, and would prefer for them to go away.

I attended both Tea parties in my town, population 12,000....... we had 500 at the first, 1500 at the second.

Just like Air America, you Libs can try to copy the program, but you can't compete with the message.
I'm sorry, I find it hard to believe that you got about a 1/10th of the population to show up at a tea party meeting. It just doesn't work like that, even in a best case scenario, too many people don't agree or are busy or are tuned our or whatever. Not to mention the logistics of housing that many people. Do you have an official source to back it up?

And as for "5 activists huddled in the corner", I helped organize my city's Coffee Party, and we had about 80 people show up, so many we had to split off to a second venue. Now understandably you can call bs, seeing my above quote, and the only actual count I have is my email list which I can't show you, but I can link to a video of our meeting if you want to do a head count.
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet the Makeout Hobo, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

The TEA Party stands for "Taxed Enough Already," but I'm not sure what the Coffee Party stands for... besides bigger government, of course.

Is there a reason for naming it "Coffee Party" other than as a counter-attack to the growing Tea Party Movement?

They called it the coffee party because Libs are so very original in their thinking.
