I don't believe in karma, but I understand this principle.

Basically I view this question as very interesting because it can get to the heart of what people think of others. People who can easily discard the humanity of others will think it is possible that killing is a good thing. Those who will always recognize the humanity of all cannot see it as ever being a good thing.

I have made sure to clarify that is not the question in the OP.

Jesus was absolutely about fighting back at the correct time. He said everything in it's time.

He was about understanding and helping your fellow man, not about being a victim.

What this has to do with judging I have not a clue.

Please don't try and tell me about my religion. I know it allot better than you.

Fundamentally as all humans have the right to life, it is always bad to take the life of another human. That doesn't necessarily mean you aren't justified in doing so (i.e. that it will always come with jail time). But the act in and of itself is always a bad thing. You've taken something which can't be given back and infringed upon the most basic of all human rights.

As cold as this sounds, when I heard that Jeffrey Dahmer had been killed in jail, I was happy.

If I found out that Scott Peterson was killed, I'd be happy.

If I found out that the pediatrician who molested over 100 kids was killed, I'd be elated.

There are circumstances where I would celebrate someone being killed when that someone was what I considered "evil." That usually involves a person who has inflicted terrible things onto others.

I'd be lying if I said otherwise. This is how I truly feel.

Sometimes it is necessary, and thus is not a bad thing.
