Funny you should ask...

Holy crap. How do you find time to post here?

Between clients...its a mindless diversion! And I'll be blunt (and this will be an obviously easy target) I dont dedicate a ton of time to 'research' here...I post my opinions...my positions...and if people want convincin and research they...well...maybe they ought not be posting on an internet blog! :)

Maybe it's because you don't sleep. Thumbs up- I don't know how you do it. I find it difficult enough just to work a full time job and still have a good life.

That is true...I dont sleep! Kinda sucks...3-5 hours a night...tops! Plus I work 4 days a week at a remote site...so...no travel between those days. Helps with the homework.

Believe it or not I actually get in a round of golf or two a week and manage to get the boat out at least once a month during the summer.

I'm a ninja. When I'm not swooping down from dark ceilings and killing people with sharp blades, I work on mothering my two kids.

Thats a lot more taxing than what I do!!! Seriously!!!

I'm kind of an "other". I take care of my father, which gets me paid through a charity and it's full-time so it counts as a job.

I also work a sporadic job at a bar as a bouncer on occasion, do occasional carpentry on the weekends for extra cash, and go to grad school.

I'm also checking out the possibility of teaching test prep courses in math with a group like Kaplan or something.

Part time and in school. I am a trained doctor but I'm upgrading my education right now.

To what? Superdoctor? ;)

I'm currently working on a PhD.

I have my bachelor of oriental medicine, now I'm working on a masters, which entails minor surgery, but not until the second year.

Self employed two businesses in one. Also freelance magazine writer and staff writer when I'm motivated to do so.(nonfiction) working on a fiction novel. Always too many irons in the fire. Can't help it. :3oops:

Work full time operating two small businesses and one medium sized one, as well as part time being a strength and conditioning coach for quite a few teams in this area. You might say i am even a volunteer in this regard because it pays next to nothing. I still manage to go to school, but only 3 credit hours:mrgreen: Shut down my boxing career two years ago due to time constraints:(

I shut down mine 26 years ago...4 years too late. I wake up every morning with the reminders that unless it was obvious during my amatuer career that I would make it big, boxing as anything other than exercise was a BAD idea. I TRIED to relay that message to my son who did the MMA thing for a while...but...he is a lot like his dad...had to learn the hard way.

Nothing wrong with being a jobber. Someone's got to make the champs look good, right?

True...but they dont pay near enough during the career (virtually nothing after training costs) and the arthritis in the hands and various other body pains last forever. Thank god for keyboards...otherwise I couldnt write!

I just had my performance review for 2009 and was informed that I am to undergo training for moving up to a higher level of management over the next 6 to 9 months because I have more innate talent than my current job requires. Thats cool. Ironic though, since I sit on a forum all day and work maybe 2 or 3 hours on a given day.

I guess the old saying is true. Its all about what you appear to do.

reference the movie "Office Space"...

I put down part time on the poll, because 'self-employed' working out of home wasn't on the list. For most of us in that category don't really fit anywhere else. We have been winding down our business trying to retire for some time now, which means we don't quite work 24/7 anymore. But nevertheless, here I am in the office just after midnight finishing up a project because I took some fun time off earlier in the day.

Self employment is often like that.
