Sure, why not. I wouldn't vote for him, and he has no chance of winning, but if he wants to, there is no reason why he shouldn't.

If he were about 30 years younger and completely unheard of, maybe.

So this is the huge problem with Ron Paul and the Libertarian Party.

They both had a huge chance in 2008 to market themselves to the point of making a big difference in the polls, at the very least.
They didn't do that, no T.V. spots or any mass marketing attempts.

If they want people like myself to take the time and vote for them, they have to try harder, get a marketing planner for goodness sake.

    Grass roots crap isn't enough.

Indeed, but as a libertarian, he could leech votes that the republicans otherwise might have.

His best legitimate shot would be to find a younger, more charismatic, politician that is better able to present his general philosophy in our sound clip heavy world and to express it with a fair deal of pragmatism mixed in.

Find that person, place his blessing upon him, campaign for him, talk about him, etc. This will basically assure you get the whole large Ron Paul base following after this new guy while also giving it a MUCH more likely shot of woo'ing others into the camp.

If you want another fast talker, with a nice smile, then no. but we want somebody to get us out of the financial mess we are in, then YES. He knows where all the bodies are buried, and who buried them there. He is a Man of courage and conviction. the first true Statesman to come down the pike in quite a while. If we miss this chance, it could be our last. we are going down fast, if you haven't notice. --History shows there is a turning point, with Nations going down hill. some make it, and some don't.
