I like it. I had a co-worker who is Maori, and one of my fondest memories of him is hearing him sing karaoke to "I'm a Cowboy" by Bon Jovi. Heh. He was REALLY, REALLY good.
yes, most islanders can sing beautifully, but if you ever hear a kiwi asking for fish and chips with dim sims and worchestershire sauce, it sounds either hilarious or ridiculous depending on the strength of the accent
It is a very funny accent, he reminded me a lot of a star wars troooper.
I liksh teh drunk'n accshent. itsch teh besht evah!
now that would make a good poll, which accent sounds better when they're drunk
gotta feel sorry for the kiwis though, i dont think anyone finds that accent attractive
11 People picked the Irish accent...
Which one?
Liam Neeson (Ras Al Ghul Batman Begins)
Pierce Brosnan?
Gabriel Byrne (Usual suspects etc.)
Colin Farrell?
Colin Meaney (Cheif O'Brien Star Trek) and his Dublin accent (mine too)
Or that darn Lepruchaun in the Lucky Charms add whos accent seems to come from somewhere between west cork and Jupiter.
For such a small geographical area its got quite a few.
Says an Aussie! I like the Kiwi accent. I love the way they seem to have decided on their own set of vowels. I'd love to know how fish and chips became fush and chups, how yes became yis.
Then again, how did the Aussies turn no into naaayiw? Early Kylie interviews illustrate this perfectly.
how dare you suggest im prejudiced against those sheep shaggers who cant play cricket for crap.
thats just the bogan drawl, reserved for those who make it into show business
I picked scottish because I once met these two hot twin scottish girls who would do anything for love....
Very disappointed not to hear anyone mention the lovely Yorkshire accent of my kith and kin. I did a quick search and found this clip. It's the cutest thing I've seen for a long time and this little smasher has the most wonderful, thick Yorkie accent. I hope you like it...please make sure you watch to at least 1:30. It's great.
She's adorable. No one mentioned the Welsh, either. I've been watching Torchwood on Netflix, and I love Gwen's accent on the show.
Yes, I love a Welsh accent too. Have you ever caught a BBC series called "Gavin and Stacey"? YT it. It's half set in South Wales. It's a very funny series but the accents are the best.
I have not, but I love british TV.
Check it out, Sweet Cheeks. I think you'll like it.
If you'd seen them, you'd be able to testify to the truth of that statement.
