As long as they can enunciate and not sound like they have a mouthful of marbles.. I'm good with that. I AM partial to foreign accents, British and Russian specifically.

And as long as they don't say, "D00d!" every other word....

Or any number of other irritating words used.

Which will probably be normal in the future...crap.

You can't be serious. Wisconsin is probably the worst sounding accent in America. Your telling me that you prefer a nasal "Fargo Talk" to a Texas Accent?

Midwestern is supposed to be the most pure and what you usually hear as announcers, anchors, radio people.
That would be lower Midwest, specifically Kansas City which has the closest to no accent that you can get. The upper Midwest is really not a very nice sounding accent at all.

Thank you! I say this because I don't know how many times people see the "Kansas City" (or general METRO area) and have said, "I'll bet you have a Southern drawl"............. uh, no.

Well some do, especially residents that moved up from southern Missouri, but most people here really don't have one. I guess people here have a slight tinge of a southern accent. Like how they say "wash" it sounds like "warsh".

However, when I say things in meetings at work such as "well we still like a little before we are done with this" or "I am fixin to have this done", people don't know what I am saying.

You say 'you're fixin'? lol I am not laughing at you, mind you... I just haven't heard many people say that.

I hear a lot of Wisconsin, S. Carolina and Texas accents here - mostly because of Ft. Leavenworth. We don't get a lot of International Officers here except for Saudi, and I don't really care for their accents at all.

There was a family moved in a few houses down and he has that kind of accent that reminds me a Gomer Pyle.. talk about grating on the nerves. Eesshh. "Well Goooooollll-EY!" Yuck.

As if it had to be asked.

A good vocabulary + southern accent = best ever.
