How do you feel about the other side?

How do you feel about the other side?

I had to boil it down to 10 options so I apologize if I didn't catch your sentiment, but I want to take the temperature and see how people feel about those of another politicial affiliation.

None of them really fit for me. I like to judge people by their character, not their politics.

There is an option there that simply says "I am a moderate".

Seems to me like it would fit perfectly for someone who makes the same statement in his lean.

If moderate meant exactly in the middle I would agree. I am not, I lean right. I am a moderate conservative. The term moderate by itself does not say this. Not to me anyway.

Re: How do you feel about the other side?

I would consider myself a moderate (Yes, moderate Socialists exist) and I see both sides as beneficial.

From the liberal side we get a drive for equality and a progressive attitude as well as a push for social programs.

From the conservative side, we get a cautionary attitude that prevents us from going out of control financially and to reign in some of the over-enthusiastic drive.

Idealistic though this sentiment may be, I do see both sides as having something to contribute.

I may be liberal, particularly on some social issues, on others - a moderate.
Often times I do feel that conservatives can be right..
    Time will tell.
My philosophy is - advocate what works in the long run..do what yields more positive than negative.
This requires some switching and a ton of thinking....

As a strong independent I feel no one group has all the answers.
Most often then not both sides are wrong.

Re: How do you feel about the other side?

I think there are times when a more liberal position is the right one, but not often. Sometimes they have the right idea and just go entirely overboard.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.
