Doing the math, most of the people on this site are actually non-partisan or non-wingers.

So I don't know what you people are smoking, but it must be something good.
I wouldn't count undisclosed though since you don't know what they are.

I don't know if this forum is mostly right wingers.

I do think they are the loudest.

Also with the data most of the disclosed political leanings are rightwing.

Would it be improper to assume that we could expect a similar ratio of left to right in the undisclosed category? Though one side may systematically prefer to choose privacy more often.

[....]I believe there are different realms in the society and there are different principles which underlie these realms. That's why I've called myself a socialist in economics, a liberal in politics, and a conservative in culture. [...] I'm a socialist in economics because I believe that every society has an obligation to give people that degree of decency to allow them to feel that they are citiziens in this society. In the realm of economics, the first lien on resources should be that of the community in a redistributive way.
I'm a conservative in culture because I believe in continuity, and I believe in judgment. I don't believe that all opinions in culture are th same as everybody else's opinion. I don't believe that all art is the same. Some things are better than others, and you have to justidy why it's better than others, and you have to understand the grounds of justification.

I'm a liberal in politics but liberalism has no fixed dogmas. It has no fixed points, that you can say, 'This is the liberal position'. It changes because it's an attitude. It's a skepticism. It's a pluralism, it's agnostic."

Same thing happens to me, which suggests that the political spectrum isn't two dimensional.

Not that the partisans of this world care, though ...

I meant to say "one dimensional".

Nazi is short for National Socialist German Workers' Party. Hitler was a socialist and that's left wing.

And, yes, he hated communist...and jews, and gypsy's, and Christians, and gays, and...

...but such is the legacy of left-wing ideology.

Same has happened to me in the past and continues to happen. I focus on the individual issue and that dictates my lean. I try and narrow it down by socially liberal and fiscally conservative, but that doesn't begin to cover everything, does it?

i don't think you can rate hitler on a left to right scale, he was anti everything that wasn't pure white german, he created his own system, socialism was just his view on economy, he was socialy conservative, anti-democracy, anti-communist, anti-monarchist, anti-semite, anti-gay, and hitler wanted it named the "social revolutionary party" not national socialist etc..
