I largely agree with her foreign policy decisions, I strongly agree with her energy positions, I agree with her when it comes to abortion as well as other social issues. Really the main thing I don't think I agree with her on would be health care reform, other then that I think she is a great candidate with great ideals.

It's also easy to throw out empty platitudes and ideological generalizations. I'd have a lot more respect for Palin if she could articulate an actual policy and defend it with more than a "this is the way things should be" sort of statement.

What does she want to do, and why will it work? Can anyone find a quote from her answering those two questions?
She doesn't just speak against things. She is in favor of energy independence and speaks of a future where we have oil, natural gas, and an ongoing pursuit of renewable energy. She is also in favor of lowering taxes and giving more power to the states. Plus her record has proven that she is strongly against political corruption, even within her own party. Right now she is speaking against things because what is being proposed by congress and the Obama administration is garbage. Someone needs to speak out against the stuff Obama wants to do, is it wrong to do so? Is it wrong to be a nay sayer when it is the wisest decision? One thing I really agree with her on is this statement

Palin has articulated policy, most notably why we should drill her and drill now for energy and use coal and natural gas until we have renewable energy. She has talked about the dangers of what the current administration is doing as well, have you ever heard her speeches? Sure she stands behind the conservative ideology, but she also explains why it is best (in her opinion) and why the current policies are not what is best. Besides, someone can give reasons for their policy but that doesn't mean it's correct or will be what is best. Obama kept trying to scare America into passing his stimulus bill, making promises like unemployment will not rise beyond 8% and other lies...

If you are wanting to know her stances on things here is a good site http://www.ontheissues.org/sarah_Palin.htm

Okay, that's one thing, though it mostly satisfies the desires of a major industry to make more money. What is it she'd to do help us pursue renewable energy? Is there anything that does not just throw bones to already entrenched interest groups? Is her policy guided by the sciences of geology and the economics of energy consumption, or is it really just a sop to contributors. When she says "renewable energy," it appears she means "bio-fuels," which is just another farm bill, really.
She is also in favor of lowering taxes and giving more power to the states.
That's good, but what exactly are we going to do without so that those taxes can be lowered?
Plus her record has proven that she is strongly against political corruption, even within her own party.
Except when she's using her position to make miserable people who've been personally offensive to her. Isn't that corruption?

Right now she is speaking against things because what is being proposed by congress and the Obama administration is garbage. Yes, the nay saying is a problem--not in general but specifically at this time, and not because Obama's policies are good ones, but because we have become paralyzed by naysaying (on both sides) for almost ten years. Just say "no" will be the death of us.
Palin has articulated policy, most notably why we should drill her and drill now for energy and use coal and natural gas until we have renewable energy.
Except that we have no real way of doing this without significant increases in pollution, and she's not interested in developing renewable energy in the most promising areas (which happen to be new, emerging industries that cannot at this moment give her any money).

See, I think she's just an opportunist. She's not really acting like someone who wants to be president. She's acting like someone who has a moment (a couple of years, really) in which she can make a ton of cash by telling people things they want to hear. She may even run for a nomination--but she'll do it the way Al Sharpton does--as a way of making a living, and a nice one.

I couldn't support Palin because she way out of her league as far as politics, is just average in intellect, and a quitter. Those are not attributes I want in a president. You can say what you want about our present president but he is none of the above.

She believes in less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, growing the private sector, and very much-needed fiscal restraint.
Yeah, but how about all the other nuttiness and ignorance that goes along with those things, which many question her commitment to.

Can you lay on the couch and explain why you hate the United States so much you want to have two terms with this incompetent community organizing socialist buffoon in charge?

They're terrified of that her message might resonate. More than anything else, they don't want another real American getting into the White House.

Not at all. I believe everyone is entitled to as much money as they can swindle from anyone they manage to dupe. Here we are talking about "supporting Palin" when the only way to do that is to buy her book or attend some speech for which she's paid six-figures. Support her all you like.
