"She complained that we didn’t have enough “Arabic translators” in Afghanistan -- not realizing the natives don’t speak Arabic in Afghanistan, but rather a variety of regional dialects, the most common of which is Pashtun.

Speaking to military veterans one time, Palin said, “Our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today.”

She bragged about passing a law regulating the nuclear industry that it turned out never became a law at all.

Some days Palin said Venezuela's dictator Hugo Chavez should suffer "regional isolation" -- but then on others she’d say she supported the president’s meeting with Chavez.

She told one audience about recent tornados in Kansas that had killed 10,000 people. In fact, a dozen people were killed in the tornados.

She referred to the “57 states” that make up the U.S.

Speaking of her eldest daughter’s pregnancy, she said Bristol was being “punished” with a baby.

As you probably know -- or guessed by now -- none of these gaffes were uttered by Palin. They are all Obama gaffes. Luckily, he made them to a star-struck press that managed not to ask him a difficult question for two years."

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Whining about Obama in a thread about why do you support Palin. More evidence suggesting that Palinites are not FOR anything other than what they are AGAINST. Oh, and, they've been wronged and treated unfairly. Alot.

I would support Sarah Palin shutting the heck up and going back to hunting/fishing in Alaska.

Not just no but HELL NO!
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

She would be absolutely horrible for the US, but I don't think it would be complete destruction. As long as they hide the red button, y'all should be fine.
No men are anywhere, and Im allowed to go in, because Im the owner of the pageant and therefore Im inspecting it, Trump said... Is everyone OK? You know, theyre standing there with no clothes. Is everybody OK? And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.

No, that was just plain fun.

I like the way she drives liberals crazy too...it is an added benefit of her being out there still in the limelight.

No, she is a hypocrite(supported the alleged bridge to nowhere but now doesn't),liar(claims to be against abortion her choice in judges contradicts that claim) and a quitter(she didn't finish her term in office). Her opponents regardless if they are primary candidates or presidential candidates will use this against her or at least the part of her being a quitter.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

I would love to. I agree with her 95% of the time Plus I think she could beat Obama. Here is an older poll from December in regards to Palin's favorability. Palin?s Favorable Up Slightly; Obama?s Holds Steady. Back then 44% of America had a favorable opinion of her which had risen from 40% just two months before this poll was taken. According to Real Clear Politics Obama, now has an approval rating of 47.7% and a disapproval of 47.4% RealClearPolitics - Election Other - President Obama Job Approval I wonder if they conducted a favorability rating for Palin vs. Obama what the numbers would be.

It's easy to agree with someone whose only tack is to speak against things. It's easy to be against things. Unfortunately, the biggest problem we face as a nation is the inability to do pretty much ANYTHING because blocking action is the default setting.

It's also easy to throw out empty platitudes and ideological generalizations. I'd have a lot more respect for Palin if she could articulate an actual policy and defend it with more than a "this is the way things should be" sort of statement.

What does she want to do, and why will it work? Can anyone find a quote from her answering those two questions?

I was listening to Morning Joe this am for a bit. Joe and Mika and Peggy Noonan and Mark Halperin and Mike Barnacle and someone else were saying something similar. They said her speech amounted to "I don't like elitism", and was a wasted opportunity that will damage her significantly, b/c she had a long time to prepare, and outline what she was for, but didn't ouline a single idea or initiative.
