I really don't know why his losing his home state is such a big shiny thing for your ilk. I mean, Tennessee is a red state. Seems pretty clear he would have difficulty and he did. Go masturbate about it and move on.

I don't think it's that big of a deal that Gore lost his home state. I mean, his opinion and his state's popular opinion did differ so why would they vote for him?

Why does Gore losing Tennessee matter? He has opposing view points to the popular opinion in the state so why would they vote for him? No one made a big deal out of Texas not voting for Obama yet it's the same situation. His opinions and the state's popular opinions were different. Him being from the state is irrelevant.

You don't have to go back 200 years McGovern lost his home state, Nixon lost New York. New York was his official residency. You said presidential candidates don't lose their homestate well its pretty obvious some have despite your contentions.

You still have yet to explain why it is so bad that a state with a dissenting opinion didn't vote for him. Do you expect a state that disagrees with someone to vote for them?
