These threads are getting odder by the day...

And have there been studies as to the effectiveness of those ideas? Might not soda water be better than Mountain Dew, as it doesn't have the sticky sugar issue?

:rofl

I use my personality as a form of birth control.

How about sterilization, Luna. Sounds like you might be a good candidate.

Hell Korimyr We all use your personality as a form of birth control.

Damned effective it is too..

Practicing abstinence... If you aren't ready for a child then you aren't ready for sex. Birth control isn't 100% reliable and pregnancy is always a possible outcome.

Withdrawal is the only one of those that's remotely effective...but they're all stupid ideas.

i imagine you also do not ever get in a car, because then too, you would be faced with a chance of being in an accident. would not want to engage in any behavior where there is any degree of risk [/s]

but to answer the question
THE PILL
the one she must hold between her knees at all times

That is not an equitable comparison. The primary purpose for sex is reproduction, the primary purpose for a car is transportation. I am not saying people shouldn't engage in behavior because of risks, I am saying people should understand the risks and be responsible when making their choices.

and i agree with the concept of weighing risk against opportunity/benefit
not sure you have done when you refuse to engage in sexual activity only because of the potential risk. if conventional birth control methods are employed, that risk of unintended birth approaches nil

Diet coke or pepsi instead of Mountain Dew

No sugary mess, and the acidic nature of the cola will help kill the sperm

As a plus you get a gyser like the mentos in the diet cola trick

I've found that Magic The Gathering and World Of Warcraft are effective forms of birth control.

And Web Comics. Doubly so if you quote them....
Damn...I've played both of those games for ~ an hour or two, and I read some web comics...I'm NEVER gonna have kids.

Why isn't "going through the back door" an option?

Fun fact: There was a heretical sect of Christian Gnostics who believed that only the spiritual world was good and the material world was evil. They were known as the Bogomils, and rumor at the time had it that, because they believed the material world to be evil, then bringing a new life into this material world was a sin. So they engaged in sex practices that would not allow for conception. So it is from the Bogomils that we get the term "buggery."

Homosexuality sounds like it works well.
