We haven't declared war in over 50 years, which is what the Constitution authorizes. It's interesting how the strict constructionists don't worry about the letter of the Constitution when it's inconvenient to them.

Wait...didn't we declare war on the government of Iraq? Given that the Taliban "declared" war on us, Afghanistan is fine. But we declared war on Iraq, not only now, but also in the 90's.

Not really. There was no declaration of war. There was an authorization of force. Not the same thing.

That's because they're not strict constructionists. They're selective conservatives. If some government action meets with their political ideology they're all for it - Constitution be damned.

Anybody see the James Garner movie , "Support your local sheriff".This could be a good example of ,Life imitating art. In one scene, James Garner gets so fed up with facing gun slingers that are sent into town to run him out. He picks up a hand full of Rocks then when hes called out -he starts peltin the Gun Slinger. The guy takes off runing to get away from the barage of rocks( Very Funny). Any how, the way I got it figured we get Hillary at the UN to give a speech and invite ,
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. About the time he gets up to speak, Hillary Gets into her purse and......Well the rest would be history. our foreign goofy ploicy would have a little bit of Flair and humor. In theory at least we could escape the conundrum of - Sanctions to war or is it war to sanctions. I know lets have a," trade agreement", with them. Then we will overlook their nuclear ambitions. Like we are, CHINAS!

We've convinced half the Middle East the public and foreign policies of the West are to colonise, Christianize and bully Islam as it is.
For such reasons i would never support a ground offensive against Iran. It would more than likely convince the second half of such things too. When that happens we can definetly not count on any Middle Eastern country to aid us politically or economically where our energy needs are concerned. We do have some credibility amongst the Middle Eastern nations at this date despite everything that has happened. Enough to build missile defence shields, manevour in Iraq and recieve some level of cooperation. As divided as Arabs are, another attack into there lands will likely unite them against us. Despite our prowess, that will hurt us.

    Wrong.

That is the rhetoric being spewed by anti-western islam-o-nazi biggot scumbags.

We are NOT there to colonize. That is a lie. We were there to disarm a lunatic who we knew had biological and possibly nuclear weapons.

Islamic government is a crime against humanity. Don't believe me? Move to Iran.

Fixed because in reality Saudi Arabia is a lot worse in treating humans than Iran is. Also, why do you care how another country is governed? It's none of our business, and really I don't see the threat in Iran.

I'd love to see the evidence to such a based and supported argument.

What do you mean what evidence? Do you even know how Saudi Arabia is ruled?
