Should the 2001/2003 GWB cuts be extended?

Should the 2001/2003 GWB tax cuts be extended for people that make under $250k?

I have owned a small business and hired people to work for me. Why do fools like you make such idiotic comments? Just because you are collecting Social security, a government pension and on medicare, don't take it out the people that want their own taxes reduced.
If rich folks pay less taxes that means poorer folks have to pay more. Do you understand that? I just want my taxes cut and if that means rich people paying more, then so be it. If you want to pay more taxes so wealthy people don't have to, feel free to send the government extra money.
The Wall St. bailouts kind of proves how Government looks out for the wealthy. The $180 billion bailout of AIG and bank bailouts allowed the rich to keep getting bonuses thanks to the taxpayer.

This is the mentality the dem leaders play to

they tell people like you that all the stuff you want will be paid for "by the rich" as long as you vote for dems

that is why we need a flat tax or better yet a consumption tax--so congressional panderers cannot get elected by promising you the wealth of other people

if you vote for government spending than you should have to face tax hikes, not just the top 1% who already pay far far more than their fair share

You did not support the bail outs but you like it now.........Seems to me you are trying to have it both ways.............

I say let the companies sink or swim.......that is what capitalism is all about......I am consisent.......you are not.............

That just means you can be consistently wrong ;)

Once you start generalizing every situation, and when you start saying overbroad statements, you're automatically wrong.

Hmm...it just sounds like politics to me, partisan party views aside.

Of course not, only someone very retarded would cut taxes when deficits are record high, or even keep old idiotic and populist tax cuts.

But then again, its democracy, its the only way, to follow the downward spiral.. So yes, they will stay in place. So will the enourmous doubling of military expenditures, and so will all other things. On top of that, taxes will probably be cut again, for re-election purposes.

Democracy is wonderful, isnt it? :2wave:

But SHOULD they stay in place? NO Fraking way... And defense spendings needs to be cut as well, to pre-fascist levels.

Why the **** don't we just disarm and start talking arabic???? Jesus Christ, where do we get them from??????????????

yes, because what this question really means is "should we extend the tax cuts, or deliberately raise unemployment?"

I don't think the GWB tax cuts should be extended. However, I do think that Congress should pass a new tax cut law. Increase taxes on some of our wealthiest 1% and cut taxes on our middle class. That will help spur government revenue and our economy.

That makes the most sense to me as well.

I think that anyone who does not think the Bush taxes should not be extended should send theirs back to Obama but don't hold your breath............

A new tax cut should be implemented targeting the middle class to stimulate demand. There is too much capacity and not enough demand.

Give everyone a tax cut and cut out the outrageous spending your daddy is doing...........

So far you haven't offered any plausible suggestions for how you'd like to balance the budget...you've just offered up a few tiny token programs, instead of addressing the elephant in the room: Entitlement spending. You want low taxes but are unwilling to make serious sacrifices in terms of government programs. People like you are exactly why we have had a deficit for most of the last 50 years.

What you want to cut the VA? Medicare? SS?

Bushes tax cuts were corporate welfare disguised as a "tax break". They primarily benefitted the most well to do.

Republicans need to learn a clue. "Trickle down economics didn't work with Reagan....they didn't work with GWB.....why do you think they will work in 2010??

The Republicans need to learn that trying the same failed thing over and over and over and expecting different results is just not smart.

Those are entitlements people have earned...

Hey don't forget miltary pensions..........

I wish there was a way I could find out how many of you lefties gave back your tax cuts..........I bet the number would be a big zero.......

That is funny because I got a nice tax cut and I belong to no corporation..........Try something else DD you lose again.

see you give tax cuts to corporations instead of buying them like Obama does with the banks and auto industry and they hire people with the money....

Really? Then you must be wealthy because most of us saw nothing.

The reality if you look at the actual numbers Navy.....Bush's tax cuts were nothing more than "corporate welfare" which is a program that you are extemely fond of. Handouts to the wealthy.....and a hope that it trickles down to the workers.....that same failed policy of Reagan that you were so proud of....that left us with HUGE deficits.

I think the "tax cut" that I got from Bush was about $50 that was taken back when I filed my federal income taxes. So I guess in essence.... I DID give it back.

Did you?

Again...Navy....I already told you about my tax cut...

But even if you don't believe me. Lying isn't a ten commandment....

Committing adultry is.

As a "Good Catholic"....I am sure that you have confessed and repented for committing adultry....have you Navy? I hope for the sake our your soul that you have.
