I lived on less than that for over 10 years.

Not true. I made approx 100k/year while living in San Diego, and I most certainly was not 'rich'. My fricken apartment cost 1/3 of that and almost 1/3 of it went to taxes.

Leaving you with around $33,000 for other expenses? thats not poor by any means. I wish I could pay my mortage and taxes and still have $33,000 to piss away.

    Most of those are students.

Only a handful voted for anything in the middle--no more than 2 votes in any one category.
Actually, far more voted in the middle than in the lowest end of the spectrum.

ROFLMAO Yeah, I had 30000 to 'piss away'. You mean... health insurance, 401k, to buy groceries, make car payments, pay insurance on said car, pay credit card bills, and numerous other bills I had at the time. Yeah, it was 'pissed away'. Hell, just tallying up groceries, 401k and car payments... that took another 20k.

So 'rich'? Hardly. I had very little excess. I was barely making ends meet at the time. Was I hurting? Not at all. But I was far from 'rich'.
