My views have changed to completely against abortion
My views have change to slightly more against abortion
My views have not changed at all on abortion
My views have changed to slightly more in favor of abortion
My views have changes to completely in favor of abortion

I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK
I use to be firmly against abortion in all its forms. Much like you chuz. Thanks to many an abortion debate plus other debates mixed in I found the value of personal choice. Which is ultimately what our Constitution is about. I may not personally like the idea of abortion. But I do not have the right to tell someone else what they should believe in or do with their own bodies.

No abortion thread in any forum I've ever been in has had any significant effect on me other than to strengthen my position on abortion.
I'm still for a woman's right to terminate a pregnancy for any reason in the first trimester. I still think that elective abortion in the second and third trimesters should be illegal. The only exceptions being a severely malformed fetus or a life-threatening pregnancy. I'm willing to reluctantly accept the idea of second trimester abortions in cases of rape or incest, but never in the third trimester.
I haven't come across any valid arguments, on this forum or any other, that have made me question my position.

Since it's not specified, I'm assuming you mean threads on this particular forum, not threads on any forum because my answer would have to change. At one point, I was very much anti-abortion, but as I got older and matured, I changed my mind, but that was long, long ago and I have yet to see anything from the anti-abortion side that has convinced me that they have a clue. It's all a bunch of emotional threats and whining, nothing more.
It needs to be legal.
I would prefer to reduce the number of abortions through education, access to better birth control (including reversible male contraceptives), and increasing support networks available to single parents.
edited to specifically answer your question about the forum: I have only been here about a month, and have only participated in a couple of threads about abortion, so, no influence. Plus, I've honed my ideas on this topic over a number of years. I'm a regular contributor to Planned Parenthood. I talk to my kids about birth control. I've written many times over the years about safe sex education, as well as civil liberty implications of restrictions on abortion. I don't think that there is much new information you could give me at this point that I haven't considered at some point in the past.

Eschew obfuscation, espouse elucidation.
