I'm sorry but I cannot separate a person's physical looks from their intellectual, and philosophical stands. What she looks like is entirely irrelevant to the kind of person she is. And judging from her anti-intellectual, entirely ridiculous political stand, she's one of the ugliest people around.

Oh, I thought she was giving geographical context to the fact that Alaska is very close to Russia, which relates to dealing with those countries since Alaska has to deal with Russian fishing trawlers that ravage the seafloor. And that Russian energy companies have sought access (and control) of Alaska natural gas resources, while they also are staking claims to the Arctic waters while the USA does nothing. Meanwhile the melting polar ice has opened new trade routes that are potential security threats. Additionally, for decades Alaska's airspace is often breached by Russian bombers to test our defenses. [And finally, that yes, you can truly see Russia from Alaska.]
 
I don't know but I've been told. Alaska booty is mighty cold.:shock:

I'm not going to listen to your counter argument for Sarah Palin's blatant lack of intelligence. Do you think Palin knows those factoids that you pointed out? Maybe the energy ones.

Yes, of course she knows about all that and more concerning Alaska...because it is all true and there is no way she could have been governor of Alaska and not dealt with and known all of that. Again, you really should do some research, you sound like this is all new to you about Alaska.

i dont care if it is fact or fiction. the point being that palin's blatant lack of intelligence in 2008 left me out in the cold.

Pfff. If I couldn't separate how people look from the stupid, inane things they say, I'd never think any actress was hot.

I'm sure you see all this as a point of pride, but I think it's just a lack of imagination.

I have met women and men so smart that they turned me on to the point I thought I was gonna go crazy and they were not what main stream would consider attractive. One of the hottest guys I know? He weighs at least 280 pounds but he can stimulate me like crazy with wonderful conversation. Too bad he is taking by a very attractive female who is my cousin. :2razz:

Oddly, I find it the mark of something deeper if you can recognize that someone is both physically attractive yet personally repulsive. It's "shallow" if you can only see one or the other.

It's shallow if one only acknowledges one or the other. Acknowledging that both are necessary to evaluate the individual indicates that someone is thinking with the proper head.
