Nah, racial humor is just funny as long as you only use it around people who you know aren't going to be offended. My roommate and I jokingly use racial slurs on each other all the time (we're both white). Perhaps you need to lighten up a bit.
    Are you coming to bed?
    I can't. This is important.

I do not find racism funny and as long as there are people that think racism is ok in this country? Racism will never go away. So you keep getting your kicks off being a jerk and I will keep hoping for the day that racism is no longer an issue in my country.

I am of the thought that you can still have a wicked sense of humor without having to bring race into something. Of course I am mature like that.

Except we aren't talking about racism, we're talking about racial jokes and stereotypes.

How is it being a jerk? I don't care if my roommate uses some racial slur at me, and I'll probably find it funny. Likewise for him.

    Love it.

I'm Jewish. I've heard it. It annoys me when I hear it from someone who is unaware of my religion, though I believe that intent is an important factor in this.

I slightly agree. I grew up with the phrase and it wasn't meant to be bigotted. However, now that I'm grown :-) and have Jewish friends, I no longer use it. I do find most Jewish people to be good business people and maybe they should be complimented by the phrase, but I don't want to chance offending them.

Is it something that happens so often you came up with a phrase for it?
