Rush Limbaugh listening habits?
Only when I want to laugh my ass off at somebody
I listened for three hours a day as often as I could from 1991 to 2005. I pretty much went cold turkey in October 2005 when I began to re-evaluate my political beliefs.
I listened as often as I could, which wasn't every day. I started listening when I was twelve, so that meant I could listen to the full three hours in the summer and hear the "best of" on Saturdays during the school year. I also set the VCR to catch the television show when it was on so I could watch it after school. Of course during college it was easier to catch more of the show because of the way classes fell.Wow, that's a hardcore habit. What do you do for a living, drive truck?
Rush Limbaugh listening habits?
Never.
I used to listen to Sean Hannity a LONG time ago, but never could stomach Rush. I tune out blowhards as a general rule.
I listen sometimes, when there's something going on worth listening to.
He's a little too "jersey-oriented" (ie stuck on Republican) for me, in general.
I prefer to listen to his show when Walter E Williams is subbing, or that Brit guy whose name escapes me.
I was a geek. I wanted to be an adult when I was a kid. Now that I'm an adult I wish I could go back to being a kid again ....You listened to talk radio at 12?
Yikes.
I was too busy skateboarding and practicing my pre-teen angst.
I'm actually opposite. Limbaugh at least knows how to be a radio broadcaster and entertainer. Hannity just drones on for the full 3 hours about the same thing generally with his annoying voice.
Hannity is nothing but a cheerleader. Rush is at least original, but Hannity has never had an original idea in his life.I'm actually opposite. I honestly think a lot of the people who dislike Rush do so because they don't give him a chance or the ideological divide puts them off. ...
Not only do they not get the joke, but they don't get that the joke is on them. He tweaks liberals like that all the time. The people that get offended by it are exactly the kind of people he wants to offend and the rest of us are laughing at the joke and the people that are all sandy crotched about it.
Exactly. Rush comes on strong and never lets up, and if you don't appreciate the subtleties of his sarcasm, his show will either go over your head, or piss you off. What I like about Rush is his willingness to just be himself, no apologies, and call it the way he sees it. I would like the same things in those on the opposite side of the ideological spectrum. I value honesty in self-expression over pandering any day of the week.
As for Walter Williams- I love it when he subs. I would vote for him for president (or any other office) over any politician I know of. He's another person whose jokes go right over the heads of many.
