Listen for a few weeks. What's it going to cost you? Nada.
What it will do is challenge your beliefs.

Rush does a great job explaining the right wing viewpoint.

You might have to eat crow now and again as he makes fun of Libs, but man up... Conservatives have to listen to Obi virtually everyday (except when there is a real crisis) and have to digest heaps of Obi's verbal diarrhea.

I used to listen to him, but now he is just a blow hard with a huge ego. I make it a rule to not listen to blow hards as well. I think as soon as Obama had gotten elected he went off the deep end myself.

One non-political radio show I enjoy tuning into is Coast-to-Coast, which comes on late at night. I put it on while I'm laying in bed to sleep or to listen to while I'm playing video games. It is HIGHLY entertaining, especially if you're into conspiracy theories.
    Thanks for the info.

No, it's true. C2C talked about the bees dying off very early before anyone else was. It's cool in that it catches on to stuff like that early.

On the other hand, I'm not liking the show as much lately. It seems that it has started to turn political, as many of the shows I've been listening to lately are about the New World Order in one form or another. I don't mind listening to those theories, I just don't want to be slammed about it constantly.

How early? Since I'm a hobbyist beekeeper, I'm wondering how long it took for beekeepers to catch on to the problem.

Well I dont like his style, even though sometimes he has good and honest points his whole attitude just drives me away. I would prefer less screaming, less blaming, and more honest and real debate between Americans of different ideas.

I believe in much of what he says but not 100%. I listen to him when he is being interviewed more than anything. I used to listen to him for years but he's just too fast paced. You have to know his personality and like his style to love the guy.

I know plenty of people that listen to him religiously. I would rather listen to Hannity on the radio or Michael Mendez.
We may not agree on everything but I bet we could find some common ground.

    Re: Rush Limbaugh

My response would have been a combo of the last two. I have listened to his show, and I've gotten the jokes, even found humor in some of them from time to time (he may be an "entertainer", but he's no comedian). But I also think he's a scumbag.

You see, a lot of what he says I can agree with. Granted, there's a lot I totally disagree with fundamentally, but my views and his are not always in conflict. Maybe 50/50.

What makes him a scumbag in my eyes, is exactly what Martin Kaine was talking about. The way he tweaks liberals. His approach is that of a piece of ****.

I feel that he and his cohorts on both sides of the arbitrarily-created American political divide are the real problem in this country. He is a part of a system I abhor (the American two-party system of big and bigger federal government).

But I'm an extremist. My view of how governemnt should be is perhaps one of the most extreme views on this forum. Nobody really realizes it because my views surrounding the individual issues don't sound extreme on the surface.

But I want the system that exists now to fail. These polarizing douchebags actually inhibit my desires by focusing everyone's attention on psuedo-issues that would become meaningless on a national scale if my worldview were realized.
