The thing about Rush is that basically you reap what you sow. He is grossly overweight and has history of drug abuse. Yes, he has dropped the weight up and down like a yo yo but that is just as unhealthy.
Living like that is his own fault. Take some self responsibility here.

Jerry Garcia died young too. Who would have thought a health nut like him would have died young....... Basically the guy did himself in.

No reason really to dance on their graves I suppose. But there is always gloating on both sides of the aisle.

Even non-political people get people dancing on their graves. I remember back at Whistlestopper some were dancing on the grave of Steve Irwin which I could never figure out.
 
See, here's the thing, guys. It is times like these that one can really tell the partisan hacks from the real conservatives or real liberals. The hacks come out and make personal attacks, hateful comments towards these personalities. The non-hacks do not. I saw it during the Kennedy situation. You had the hack conservatives come out and say stupid hateful things. You had the non-hacks either condemn those fools, condemn Kennedy for actions they disagreed with (and that's it) or say nothing. Same thing when the whole thing about Palin's daughter being pregnant happened. The leftwing hacks came out and said mean-spirited personal things. The non-hacks either attacked Palin's politics condemned those that were attacking her kids or said nothing. And we see it again, here. It ain't rocket science.

I like the vitriol, raw humor, poking a stick in the eye to illustrate how absurd a political position is... but it's not personal.
Wishing someone ill and hoping for their death is a sad statement. You'd think someone with compassion would feel otherwise.

Now for folks like Hitler, Saddam, and other oppressors that maim and murder... they can burn in hell. Such people are sick animals.

For political opponents on the other side of the aisle, what we know as the civilized world of politics, regardless how misguided they are (and having been a lefty, I know how misguided they are) wishing or celebrating ill health or death on them or anyone... unthinkable and frankly a twisted mentality.

To think what it must be like around such people? It's callous. A very dark place.

Yes, and I wished Rush well after hearing about his heart attack. To wish harm on people because of their political views is simply immoral. My father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, 4/5 uncles, and my best friend are all republicans. I love them all the same. While I may disagree with almost everything rush stands for, I do not wish him ill health.

In fact, I think the perfect outcome to all this will be if rush makes a full recovery, but is forced to retire for health reasons!! That would be a clear win win situation!!

But once they are recovered and healthy it is ok to return to the mean spraying of vomit on these individuals?

Soon as he walks out of the hospital one can jump on that pedophillic, animal abuser, crossdressing, communist nazi, anti-christ,shoplifting, (can't think of anymore), punk.

What little I've seen of Rush, he's a really smart guy. He's also very funny, so maybe it's true that he wanted to be a comedian. People like him are influential, and I can see why.

I do believe, however, that people who speak with such passion on a regular basis are going to be more susceptible to heart problems because they are constantly being too emotional. Emotion is going to constrict those little arteries and make the blood have a hard time getting through.

I also think he looks quite good for his age, so it's possible he's had a few nips done on the face. Don't know, or care, but someone said he looked bad for his age, and I don't think he does. I'd say he may look his age, cause he's not as doctored up with botox, but come to think of it, he doesn't have a lot of frown lines, so he's probably on that bandwagon as well. I'll check him out the next time he's on TV.

He was addicted to oxycontin. He says we're too tolerant as a society. I think we're more forgiving than we used to be, and there's a difference. Too many people are in jail for having drugs, and they shouldn't be, when they could be productive. There are probably thousands of alcoholics that function well in society, they just get drunk a lot. That should be their choice and Rush has no business butting into that. He wants no butting and butting when he thinks it's ok, but he's only one voice on this. The country needs to make that choice.

So, what's my final conclusion on Rush? I wish him well, and hope he has many more years of throwing his brand of rhetoric around. Everybody needs to realize it's just talk. He's just making a living, and it's better than digging a ditch!

I've known that for a while. But it's nothing new. Sometimes I wonder if there's just one extremo rightwinger out there posting under several alaises. Either that or someone let the parrot out of the cage and he learned to type. They all seem to say the same words, use the same spin, same justifiers, etc... ***** Actually there are plenty of Right Wingers out here. At one time they were the edge in California until the 1965 Immigration Reform Act totally kicked in. They even were a sizeable portion of Vermont. Barry of Oahu deserves every bit of the mistrust & animosity they have including from those questioning his status. I'm still wondering where all his "Private" funding came from originally in 2008.

Agreed. Though as far as I know, no public figure has called for Rush's death (if I'm wrong I'd like to see a link). If he's using random morons on the internet as his source, then that's just pretty petty.
