I'm guessing the last sentence was the point?.....

When profiling is implemented the terrorist will just find a way around it, profiling will become useless and a huge waste of resources, not to mention it's is a violation of our rights. Almost Nazi-like.
Profiling behavior is the only factor that does not violate rights and should be implemented. People should be trained in what behavior to look for and report.
Profiling on clothes, skin color, race, accent etc is a total waste of resources.

If the white kid was bald and wearing boots, he should be stopped in any community.

That profile fits my neighbor kid with cancer walking to school in the snow. I better call the cops.

Again Nazi comparisons, ****ing internet for you. Profiling is a great tool, any law enforcement agency which doesnt use it will see a spike in crime.

Behavior goes hand in hand with appearance.

Of course the enemy is going to change tactics. That's no excuse to do nothing. When he changes tactics, we change with him. Try and be proactive vice reactive. He starts using white males? We start targetting white males. He starts using white females? We start targetting white females.

It ain't rocket science.

.

Government abusing our rights is Nazi-like. It can start out seeming harmless, but where will it lead?

Yeah, over 32 years.....
You can't say that the anti abortion freaks were all Christians either, that would be profiling....
The topic is profiling Muslims, put the straw man away....;)
Your hatred of Christianity is evident or is it all religions?....

I simply corrected your inaccurate statement. Terrorism is what it is, and turning a blind eye to some is not a good idea.

That's funny.

You are kidding right? Have you ever been in an airport? Everyone looks different.

Can you elaborate on that please?

He starts using white males? We start targetting white males. He starts using white females? We start targetting white females.

It doesnt work that way, its the total picture not a particular identifier.

Profiling works, just ask Las Vegas and any good marketing company. You identify certain combinations to certain behaviors.

I fail to see how making terrorists find alternative means of operation is a bad thing.......;)

Didn't take long for Godwin's rule to apply.....

Everyone looks different, so everyone is a suspect.

You are comparing marketing to government profiling? No wonder you are so confused.

Government abusing our rights is Nazi-like. It can start out seeming harmless, but where will it lead?

Ok its nothing like Nazis, why does everything go back to that?

In anycase, profiling is not unconstitutional. Searching you without probable cause is unconstitutional, detaining for a few questions and asking Identification is perfectly acceptable.

No one is turning a blind eye to any terrorist.......;)

It is a particular identifier. Are Islamic terrorists currently using white, 20 something y/o females as suicide bombers, or hi-jackers? No, they're not, so we can spend less time with the 20 something white chicks and more time looking for 20 something swarthy looking males.

Kind of like how the Gestapo did it?

"Papers Please"

Come on how about an argument, instead of comparing everything you disagree with as Nazish.

There are a million patterns to look for.

As a former security guard, I can tell you its not that difficult. I prevented many situations by being vigilent and observing certain profiles.

Again, let me explain it . It isnt a particular age group or gender or race, it is combination of certain things together. Behavior, Physical profile, body language, etc.

...race, sex, religion and national origin.

Sorry, but that's what it reminds me of. Haven't you ever seen those old movies where the Gestapo is at the train station checking everyones papers?

I do feel that profiling is giving too much power to the governmet. I would rather take my chances, not let the terrorists win and keep my rights. I am not afraid.

You have a right to that opinion.
