How important is search to you? Are you a recreational 'net user, or is it part of your work? What kinds of things do you search for? There are a few specialized engines that may work out all right for you.

Honestly, though? If you switch, you're going to see a loss in quality. Google is top of the heap at the current time.

I hear Bing's adequate. May want to give them a try.

I like Google. I use Bing every now and then, but only when I'm ordering stuff online to take advantage of their cashback program. Ordered two iPods a couple of weeks ago from Walmart through Bing and will get back over $100. MS is desperate, so they're bribing people to use Bing

What about Yahoo? I just tried a search using them and like their layout and results. As far as computer use, I'm purely a recreational user.

Heh, I use swagbucks once or twice a day for the bribe factor, too. They give you points for searching and buying through their site, which I turn around and use to get amazon GCs.

I don't do a lot of shopping online, except for big ticket items such as traveling, hotels, airline tickets. Also, hard to find items. Other than that I prefer to shop locally whenever feasible.

Has there actually been any nonchristians complaining about that?
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet the Makeout Hobo, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

I think that Christmas logo is suppose to represent Christmas postal cards, and I'm guessing the moon with the peace sign is suppose to have something to do with the recent information NASA released about the moon. I have no clue what the other images represent, but it has to mean something.

    That's something I really wonder.

I will happily accept greetings for anything from Christmas to Hanukkah to Holi, the Hindu festival of colors.

Well wishes, whatever the stripe, are supposed to be good things, right?

I'm a little aghast at the insistence on Merry Christmas, honestly. What if the person offering the greeting is not Christian? What if they are devout Christians who object to the commercialization of Christmas, and prefer not to sully their holy day with associations with a place of commerce?

Also, aren't pleasantries a voluntary thing? Am I entitled to someone saying "how are you?" or telling me to have a nice day? Forced wishes are meaningless ones.

I don't think anyone truly is offended by "Merry Christmas" and I don't think anyone should be offended by the lack of that greeting, either.
