Yes, I had an online friend suggest that we might become something more than friends behind our spouses' backs and I turned it down immediately. Later, she said she was embarrassed that she had ever brought it up and we're still friends many years later. It's not hard to turn down when you're committed to your husband/wife.

I give her credit for being embarrassed because it shows she had some decency. In my case, the married guy who propositioned me was clearly suprised that I said no and was not remotely embarrassed. I feel sorry for his wife.

I was pursued once while being married. It seriously messed with my head.

I wonder if it's because some women like the self esteem boost from having a married man choose them over their wife.

I don't know what it is but the married man more likely than now will stay with his wife and use the other one. Not a smart move on the part of the mistress.

I guess. Granted, she was in an abusive relationship and divorced her husband not long thereafter, so I can see where she was coming from, but it just wasn't anything I was interested in, nor would I ever be.
