No, I think they're going to be debating and tweaking this for much longer than that.

I've always had a certain degree of respect for Lieberman.

I voted no, but I did not think a bill would be passed this month anyway. I am willing to bet a bill does get passed within a couple months, probably at this point without a public option.

What's hilarious is how angry certain people now are at him... when those same certain people criticized the Republican Party for not having enough moderates.

You know I hear that these people, these representatives, in Washington are representing their constituents, but when I look at Washington, all I see is some politicians playing a big game. It's all just a game to some of these people. Granted, some of them are genuine in their work, but mostly I see...the game.

Democrats aren't angry at Lieberman for being a moderate. Democrats are angry at Lieberman for voting against a piece of health care reform that he himself lobbied for years ago.

    ...I lost the game.

Seriously though, politics is a game, always has been, always will be. There's nothing you can really do about it, it's just a fact of life.

Absolutely! Twice in fact he spoke in favor of the medicare option! Once when running with Al Gore and again in 2006.

He's the biggest phony in D.C. He has a very inflated view of his importance and does things like this to make himself feel important.

When he couldn't get elected by his own party he switched parties. Now that's the epitome of getting elected at all costs. Can anyone trust a politician that will do anything to get reelected. I don't think so!

So did I. I kinda feel for the guy. He is between the proverbial rock and a hard place. There is so much good work he can get done but he knows if he crosses his supporters in his state's insurance industry, he's toast.

Going against over 60% of his voting public in favor of his cash cow's, not representing the wishes of those who elected him, he's toast.

    What's a poor demo...er...repub....indepen...uh.... to do?

    Either way, he's toast.
