Who would miss 5% of their pay check and what income bracket are you(household) in?

Who would miss 5% of their pay check and what income bracket are you (or your household) in?

This is a spin off from the other thread and a two part question. select any of the top five choices of who you think would miss 5% of their paycheck and select any one of the bottom five choices that applies to you or your household total.

Who would miss 5% of their pay check

Upper class-above $500,000($25,000 and above) would miss 5% of their paycheck
Upper-middle class- between $250,000 and $500,000 ($12,500-$25,000) would miss 5% of their paycheck
Middle-middle class- between $125,000 and $250,000($6,250-$12,500) would miss 5% of their paycheck
Middle-middle class- between $125,000 and $250,000($6,250-$12,500) would miss 5% of their paycheck
Lower class- $0 to $50,000($0.00-$2,500) would miss 5% of their paycheck

and what income bracket are you (or your household) in?

I or my household would be considered upper class income bracket
I or my household would be considered upper middle class income bracket
I or my household would be considered middle-middle class income bracket
I or my household would be considered lower middle class income bracket
I or my household would be considered lower class income bracket

I say anyone regardless of income made would miss 5% of their paycheck because 5% is still at least two hours worth of work a week(assuming you work only 40 hours a week) of your life that you are never going to get back.

These numbers are based on this article. I realize that in different parts of the country the cost of living is higher. While in some parts of Oklahoma you can buy a decent home for around $20,000 while in NewYork city or California you could make $200,000 a year and still couldn't buy a decent home.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Your poll is confusing. Can't you make a better poll?

    How is it confusing?

Pick any of the top 5 choices you believe to be true and pick any one of the bottom 5 choices that applies to you. For example I believe anyone regardless of income made would miss 5% of their check so I picked all of the top 5 and I would be considered lower class income bracket so I picked the bottom choice.

For one thing, in my neck of the woods, over $125,000 is way above middle, middle class. My income is far below that and we have money for skiing, traveling, and worry free shopping. Planned trips this coming year will be a 3 day ski vacation at a modest nearby area, a 6 day trip to Miami Florida from the West Coast for a wedding, another trip to North Idaho on lake Pend Orelle. I only owe money on my primary residence and have 3 other houses free and clear, two of which are rented out.

No, I don't want to fork over another 5% to Uncle Sam to pay for Obamas underfunded grandiose schemes.

I realize that the cost of living is different in many parts of the country. Even though you can't buy a decent home in New York city with a income of $250,000(from what I heard), is Uncle same going to take less money out of that person's paycheck than someone making $250,000 in Oklahoma who could probably buy a mansion with that( or least get a loan to buy a mansion) ?

I guess I will work on another poll instead to correct that mistake.

Hopefully a mod can delete this thread.
