Really? That's awesome. I dunno... he seems cranky enough, but not nearly mature or dignified...
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet the Makeout Hobo, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

The reality of this idea is that the evangelical right-wing knows that it is on the losing end of its social agenda. They are seeing the massive eroding of their fight against gay marriage which 10 years ago was not anywhere near a reality....today it is neck and neck in a number of states. Gay marriage will be a nationwide reality in the next decade.
The lost their one real chance of stacking the Supreme Court with right-wing activist judges when Obama won the election, leaving virtually zero chance that they will overturn Roe v. Wade for decades to come.

So it is no surprise that the right-wing would like to try to rile up their base to engage in a cultural religious war.

No offense but even if they really wanted Roe V. Wade overturned, which they don't, there is not a chance in hell it would happen. Even with 9 conservative right wingers on SCOTUS it still wouldn't happen. It didn't happen under Bush II, Bush I or Reagan. Even if McCain/Palin had been elected there is no chance it would have happened. Because then what? Who in the right wing really wants to make abortion illegal? It simply wouldn't happen.
I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK

they use their supporters passion over things like abortion to get things like lower taxes for the top 3% passed
And why does your tone suggest that you do not care about children?

No. I think this seasaw battle between the conservative religious right and Progressive secular left will be an on-going struggle for as long as this nation stands. Our system supports it. As the great unwashed in the middle ultimately decide elections, and they consistantly become disenchanted with either side over a period of time in power, neither side can take permanent control.

It's the perfect system for the imperfect human. This is balance.

You can be moral and non-religious at the same time. I hope you realize that.

I personally believe the right can only stand so much of this garbage like gay marriage,
    How is Gay Marriage immoral?

    abortion,
The right has had plenty of opportunities to make abortion illegal. So far, they haven't.

and anti military shoved down their throat..........
Other than the Westboro Church (a very very far right, not left, church), I have yet to see anyone be anti-military.

PS: You can be for the troops and against a war at the same time.

    Great answer. As usual. But....

It actually is true. Social conservatives and by that I mean the religious right have been 'fighting' for the last 40 years to overturn abortion and stop pretty much any serious attempt at providing gays the same rights as straights. Is it any coincidence that the highest rates of opposition to abortion and gay marriage come from states that aren't progressive? What have they accomplished so far on a grand scale? Nothing from their social agenda really. So what are they reduced to? Trying to stop Obama's health care reform plan because they think it will fund abortions. Which it will not. You get enough people to think they're fighting for a certain cause and you can slip your own agenda in. The religious right only has about 2 points on that agenda. Interventionism in the name of God and tax cuts. That's about it. Everything else is just trivial **** they come up with to make it seem like they have people in their band thinking.
