    Does China have the capabilities to co-govern the world with the United States?

    US President Obama claimed that the Unitd States wished to co-govern the world with China. As for this statement, Premier Wen of China refused with three causes:

    First, China is the most highly populated country in the world and it had a long way to walk to build a modernized country. Thus, China should keep awake time to time;

    Second, China has been pursuing an ...

    The real question should be. Does the US at all have capability of governing others, or even themself. OF ****ing course China has capability to co govern the world with Europe. The question is will the US also be co governing with Europe and China?

    Man, your view is unrealistic if you exclude Europe. The world loves European style policies, and most people now hate American style politics. Also European econmic policies are far more influential, so is European spread of human rights, democracy and socialist-capitalism. Dont even pretend American wars and force ideology can compare with European global influence.
    But, America have the capacity and the right ideals at the bottom to help co-govern the mess of a world with Europe, and China clearly have capabilities to co govern the world with their massive industry, and growing ideaological influence.

    I personally believe more people will look at Chinese democracy in the 21st century than American democracy. A one party state where people vote on cases is far more attractive than a two party state where one vote on who makes the best show on tv, and have no say in cases, because most policies get implemented no matter who one votes for.

    China has significant hurdles to overcome, their economy will slow as the population ages, horrible environmental problems, seccesionist movements in vital areas, the possiblity of future civil unrest, Taiwan, and the rest of Asia not being too psyched about their rise too say the least.

    I know. My belief is that China by growing so fast in the beginning of the 21st century will become a totally different economy and state than Europe who was built for thousands of years and the US that was mainly built as it is in the 20th century.

    I do see the significance of growing up with different standard technologies, just like I grew up with computers while my mother barely had colour tv in her time.

    China has a long way to go before co-governing the world economically, they are a major player but still cant manufacture a car that is accepted in the States or Europe. They may soon though.

    They are catching up incredibly fast, scarily fast. The build cars that are almost just as good as American/Japanese/European ones, but they dont pass European/American/Japanese regulations.
    20 years ago, it was unthinkable that China could even build decent cars, or decent looking ones. India built a car powered by air by the way, I am sure China have done a lot of similar things that arent common knowledge.

    Well yes, their economy is 'catching up' they are developing extremely quickly. It's still going to be a while before they can bomb any surface on the planet to earn co-governance though.
