Yes. No president should bow before a nobility especially British nobility. Obama bowing before a Japanese emperor does not have the same significance. A lot of those Asian countries everybody bows to everybody usually the younger person bowing further than the older person while in European countries it is just subjects who bow before royalty.

I searched "queen elizabeth vag" in the hopes of finding some humorous photoshop to assist me in making some sort of horribly off-color joke about what Reagan should have done, and one of the first results was a rapidshare download entitled "queen elizabeth - elizabeth vagina.part1.rar"

That's absolutely terrifying.

I see the only difference being that she is a Queen (female). There's a significant difference when it comes to other countries.

Greeting, courteously, a female head of state (etc) is a sign of respect.
Greeting a male in the same manner (or more so) is a sign of submission or inequality.

If that division exists, it's because of the prevalence of queen consorts that lack true monarchical power or even the lesser authority associated with modern royalty. Queen Elizabeth, however, is a queen regnant.

No. A bow or curtsy is normal when meeting the Queen. Nothing submissive in it, merely respect.

Did Reagan in fact bow to the queen? When and under what circumstances? I haven't been able to find evidence of it, so I would like to know what the thread is about.

What I don't get....why the hell does everyone care about this now? Because FOX brought it up? This was never a problem before, why does it need to be now?

It is a sign of respect, we should be thankful we have leaders who have the courtesy, and tact to bow down in front of other leaders.
