Treating someone as your equal is hardly exhibiting arrogance.

Did he bow low enough to inspect her erection, like Obama does to every despot he meets?

I do not think this is the same case as Obama bowing before a Japanese emperor because everybody in Japan and other Asian countries bow before each other. Usually the younger person's bow is lower than the older person's bow. With the Queen of England and other European nobles it is viewed that only subjects bow before nobles.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

America does not bow to hereditary monarchs. Period

I hate liberals and neo-cons who support nation building, but the best act of nation building that I can accept is holding your head high against hereditary monarchs.

    Its ****ing American!

Actually, it is a sign of submission. That's the whole point.

I am sure there are customs for bowing deeper than those who have more seniority than you.

The Japanese emperor may have just nodded his head. The picture doesn't show everything.
