I've always thought this should be a Republican issue. Glad to see it is starting to happen.
 
Plenty of conservatives and Republicans support legalization. But liberals and Democrats are much more likley to support it.

Only the older portion of it. I have a feeling that as my generation takes over the party, it will either become more socially moderate or put a lot less emphasis on social issues.

And more economically authoritarian. Who knows though, maybe I will be surprised but just based on the fanfare that is college republicans, I am not optimistic.
 
well it's just one of those things. painfully obvious to anybody with a brain cell but lost on most people.

of course marijuana should be legalized.

and yes maintaining 25% of the world's prison population is not cheap. but then neither was the war in Iraq. or the banker bailouts. in other words all the things which we didn't need to spend money on.

but as long as IRS has the power to extort money out of taxpayers this will continue.

one day we will all be behind bars, paying for our own enslavement. that's not a joke either.

stupid ****ing Americans wave the flag like the retards they are but have not the slightest ****ing clue what it stands for. it stands for liberty. sitting behind bars for smoking a joint does not stand for liberty. this is completely anti-American.

Will it be those cute little chinese school-girls? I mean, they're not Obama, but I think I might still be ok with it. I'm pretty sure Japan has a trademark on tentacles, so that doesn't worry me.
 
I think it has elements that both liberals and conservatives could use to justify supporting it.

I think its neither a Republican or Democrat thing. Both have shown they're generally at best talk when it comes to this on any kind of true national scale.
 
I don't view it as a conservative or liberal issue. It's an issue that has plenty of support and opposition from all parties and leans.
