    Re: Political 180

I learned to stop paying attention to political leanings quite a while ago. The more I tried to fit my views into a box the more confused I got. I'm liberal on some issues, conservative on others, and on some others issues I'm just... out there...

If you're asking me if I've ever changed my mind, the answer is yes.

And mine was the exact and polar opposite. Only difference is I realized the Republican and Democratic party's are two sides of the same coin.

You find people saying the exact same thing except with a switch in the opposite direction. Do you have something a bit stronger than this or a further explanation? Being as philosophical as possible is proportional to my appreciation of your answer.

    Re: Political 180

With me...it was actually going out into the world on my own. I saw face to face the disparities of justice and the disparity of opportunity for myself.
The had bought into the Republican idea that everyone has the same opportunity to be successful...that if you work hard enough you can achieve anything you want.
I learned that this is just a talking point to keep those in power in power and those with the wealth to get more wealthy.
I know that I have been able to get where I am in life because I have had more opportunities and more resources than many others.
Those real life experiences drastically changed my political views.

I'm sure . Being here since August you ought to know the trouble with sarcasm in text compounded with the fact that I don't know you. What about the rest of my former post?

sarcasm is nothing more than veiled anger.
