Not really. Culberson would never have voted for the bill. If he were to vote for it, he's been holding out on all the liberals in Texas-7.

If they were to vote for for the so called health care bill then yes I would not vote for them anymore.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

My Congressman is technically Charlie Rangel, so this vote doesn't really change much for me.

However, my Congressman from back home is a newly elected blue dog dem in a Rep-heavy district who just decided yesterday to vote for the bill. He's done in 2010.

Both my Congressman and Senator are in favor of the bill. As long as they vote for it, they have me in their camp. If they side with the conservatives and vote against it, then I probably won't vote for them next election, depending on what other legislation arises between now and then.

Both my Senators were and are for this POS bill - so they're guaranteed to vote for it. My Rep however is firmly against it and voted last night Noe - therefore he continues to get my support, my Senators never had my vote.

I'm in Texas and all my knuckle-dragging reps voted against, so yes, I will be trying to vote them out of office.

Re: Your elector's vote on the Health Care bill

There was no way I was going to vote for my current representative even if he had voted against the bill (which he didn't).

However, my Senators are both moderate Democrats who have yet to commit their votes. If the bill comes to the Senate floor looking anything like it looks now, I will vote for either of them who votes against it. I'll probably even write them a letter telling them such, in which I will include a few telling polls, such as this one:

Re: Your elector's vote on the Health Care bill

Doris Matsui (CA-05) is voting for it, and I'm glad to see it. So is my hometown congressman Mike Thompson (CA-01), who has actually penned editorials supporting reform. Sadly, my other hometown congressmen, Wally Herger(CA-02) and Tom McClintock(CA-04) won't vote for it. This especially makes me sad when you think of what a ****-hole the northern valley is, and how much it would legitimately help people in Herger's district. I moved around a LOT as a kid, and had split parents, so I have a lot of "home towns".
