Yet it only took a handful of them to bring New York City to it's knees.
Yeah, they did it with a couple of box-cutters, didn't they?
Somehow, I'm not sure that's indicative of their prowess as military adversaries, but rather our ill-preparedness, which was borne of arrogance.

In the confines of an aircraft, a knife is scarier than a gun, especially if you don't have one. I can see how they did it.

    Were there that many?
Oh well. I'll bet our military- over 2 million strong, with an annual defense budget of 607 billion- could take them.

    If you want them too.

But were they trying to coerce the Iraqi government into anything? Or terrorize the masses at large? Or making a statement for God? Were there videos of justifiactions delivered to the Iraqi people via various media outlets?

Or were they simply unprofessionals engaged in a criminal act?

Like I stated, we have to be practical and step back before we label everything under the sun as an act of terrorism. At this rate, how soon will the government of Texas be labeled as a terrorist state for executing their criminals? Do they not mean to influence (terrorize) the masses?

It can get out of hand very easily.

Re: Fort Hood - Terrorist Attack?

If this were to be considered a terrorist attack, then any attack made with religious or political motivation can be considered the same, regardless of the aggressors. I think this is the point people are trying to make when they bring shock and awe into this conversation.

By their very nature, any attacks are terrifying to the general public. Diluting the essence of them by calling any attack by a certain mindset or political affiliation terrorist attacks undermines the concept. This was not an attack on civilians.

I think we need to avoid the emotional urge to call this a terrorist attack, and determine if there were any outside influences or a lone shooter. If there are outside influences, well, we need to introduce them to a big smoking hole in the ground. Make it real personal like.

This wasn't a terrorist attack, it was a military attack... and military attacks demand retaliation.

Do you have trouble with reading comprehension? I was simply pointing out what any idiot should understand: we are not privy to all the details at this point and the powers that be are not gonna make everything they know public at this point. This is the way these things work. Got it? Good!

Also nowhere in my post did I suggest the media is in on it. I am simply pointing out that the media will try to appear as if they know Everything when any thinking person knows that at this point the media does not know full details. You getting me now?

You're the one taking everything so serious. And I look like an ass already so it won't do me much harm to continue the trend.
