    Yeah, and it sure wasn't under Clinton that the banks were pressured into actually giving out loans to people who should have been renters.

    Agreed on both. Bush and Clinton will be like little kids league damage compared to what Reagan did and Obama is doing.

    Guys.. We have to look at the overall reasons for the severely bad state of the economy. One cannot for example blame the economic crisis on subprime alone, or sloppy and wasteful banking alone, not those two in combination. The ongoing economic collapse is due to a lot of factors. I say ongoing because even the trillions in wasteful spending will just delay the inevitable, the dissappointment was that it delayed it only slightly.
